The hostel is clean and just 5 mins walk outside the town center. The staff is great and very helpful. I'll stay again next time in Nottingham.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Problems with wi-fi and computers. Kitchen not very clean . Very handily situated. Woken at 5am by lads coming into female dorm and larking about but maybe hostels should be left to the young!

I couldn't sleep because in the 6 man dorm was one guy who was deffinitly to old for a host (>50) who was snoring and farting as crazy. Additionally it was to hot, when you open one of the very old windows in got windy... The Hostel is closed from 3am which makes it hard to go out

Owner Comment (Show)
At Igloo we welcome ALL travellers and guests, regardless of age, no one is too old to enjoy back packing. The fact that human beings have bodily functions may have been unpleasant for you but this is natural when in shared accommodation and Igloo can not really take responsibility for trumps in the night! As for the wind, again, Igloo can not control Mother Nature and if its windy, it's windy I'm afraid. Our curfew is LATE compared to many many other hostels, the curfew is clearly stated when guests check in. Those who choose to disrespect the rules of the hostel, the other guests and the staff by coming back after the curfew and waking up the whole hostel are welcome to search for accommodation else where. Our private rooms in the new Annexe building are CURFEW FREE, so those wishing to stay out later have the option to do so, as long as they plan ahead and book in advance.

This is a family run hostel. The staff is really friendly. You will find Charlie, Kim and Hannah in the office always with a smile. The space isn't much so you can't really spend too much time inside the hostel, but it does have a big kitchen (for 2 groups of people), a living room for (about 10 people), a games room downstairs with a free ps2 and some games and films and laundry service. The rooms are cosy and despite the only 3 individual bathrooms, I found no problem in having always one to.
