Great staff. Quito was really helpful and lovely. Good budget option. The room is hot, but Cartagena is hot. The mixed dorm with air conditioning would have been a better choice. It's above a club so best to bring ear plugs.

The owner was very helpful. Reasonable hostal in a colourful neighbourhood, and a short walk to the walled city.
Iguana house was a great hostel! Kevin who was working when we stayed was a great help with information on the town and where to go. Made a lovely breakfast each morning. Location is great right on the Main Street were all the night life is. Would definitely stay again.
It's ok for the money. It's a small hostel with friendly staff, some who are also guests. Small balcony area and lounge to chill out, otherwise not much common space. We had a private 2-bed bunk room which wasn't the best - very small room, uncomfortable beds and only a floor fan. Kitchen was a good size for the number of guests. Bathroom was small and frequently covered with water. I would recommend this hostel on price, good location and staff but don't expect the world.
The facilities were very sparse and the bathrooms were pretty disgusting, but if you are just looking for a bed to sleep on and no frills, it was a good value for the money. I would not recommend the private rooms, it really wasn't worth it. Breakfast in the morning was nice, but as with the rest of the hostel experience, very basic.
The hostel was not very clean and not very well laid out. There are two bathrooms but most of the time the water doesn't work in one. The staff aren't engaging, aside from one young girl who is fantastic. The music is always blaring and it's so small there isn't anywhere to chill. Only the price was good for me and their kitchen is quite well stocked, if your food doesn't get stolen (could have been by the stoners with the munchies but I have no basis to make an accusation). The breakfast is ok.
Well located but San Diego nicer. The people are lovely. Room and matress filthy, light had to be fixed and once fixed flickered all night so we had to unscrew it, air con a bonus. One shower working, does not lock and has opaque door. Toilets always blocked with you know what. taps in bathrooms dont work. Free breakfast.
Although noisy at night with disco next door, I appreciated the breakfast and the hot coffee.
