Although we did not technically stay here due to a booking mistake, Paola was very helpful. She found us a room in a neighboring B&B before we even arrived that was comparable to the room we had booked, so no delays checking in. What we did see of the guesthouse looked very nice. Its a walk up 4 flights of stairs but its worth it. The common area, kitchen and rooms looked nice & clean. The location is awesome! Walking distance to everything and close to the train station.

Il Ghiro is a lovely little guesthouse - small and comfortable. It has coffee/tea available and a load of useful tourist information as well as a little kitchen for guests to use. Lovely clean room and helpful staff.

As a middle aged couple we usually choose hotels but chose Il Ghiro as it describes itself as a guesthouse. And that is exactly what it was. We had a lovely ensuite room looking to Fiesole in the distance and the street below. A rom with lots of character, exposed beams and tastefully de decorated. It was very quiet at all times of the day and the owners were extremely helpful and friendly.

My friends and I loved it here. Although basic, it was a home away from home with pleasant, friendly, helpful staff. The location was ideal and full of fab places to grab a bite to eat of do a spot of shopping. Can't fault this accommodation and for what we paid we were clearly spoilt as we paid more for our accommodation in Rome which resembled something out of a horror movie! This place was clean, tidy, free wifi, free use of the computer, free reign... will definitely be back again one day!

This place is very close to train station and most of the attraction. You can easily reach to the heart of Florence by foot. Paula is excellent and helpful. She explain everything and give us many information for sightseeing. We got free upgrade to a ensuite room. Room and kitchen are tidy and clean. If we go to Florence again we will definitely stay here again.

We stayed for 5 nights at this nice small hostel and it was absolutly worth it. The room was perfect, big, nice atmosphere and clean, great bathroom inside the room. The kitchen was also ok, not big but working. I only think that there will be more dishes needed, when the hostel is crouded what it wasn´t at this time of year. Paola is nice and helpful and the location is very good, only a 5-minutes-walk away from the duomo and next to train station. Definitly recommend it for cosy, quiet people!
