It was a nice, simple, little room. I had to squeeze past the bed to get out which made things a bit tricky. Also a bit noisy at night and in the mornings withwith the water pump and some guy with pigeons.

Private room with huge window looking over the "back" of Florence. We loved the privacy of this room. If you're looking for a quiet place with great location this is it. If you're looking a party hostel this is not it. Great for couples.

We had a great stay and a lot of fun.

Great location, friendly/helpful staff, very clean.

I didn't stay there because they overbooked and so they pushed me on to this hostel down the way and the host was mean.

Very welcoming and pleasant stay at Guiro. Thanks !

Great location to visit florence for a weekend. All major sites as well as the train station are nearby. Staff was very friendly and responded to e-mails very quickly. Late arrival was no problem.

The staff were ALL FANTASTIC!!! Unfortunately our room was VERY COLD and the heating system was very ineffective. We also had difficulty with having warm or hot water for showers.

Charismatic architecture upon entry (hint: only take what you can carry up 4 flights of stairs, there is no lift!). Staff was great: friendly and knowledgeable. Room was good but recommend booking an ensuite rather than a shared bathroom. Kitchen area was tight, dining area large and roomy but would benefit from a table and chairs. Love the comments board. Thanks Il Ghiro and Florence, we hope to return someday.

Had such a lovely time at this guesthouse! Had a great common area with tea and coffee facilities. The staff were so lovely and helped us with everything as much as they could. Would absolutely recommend. Only issue was our shower head was broken :) Besides that it was a charming and safe (not to mention EXCELLENT location) place to stay in Florence.

Great place, great staff, Great location just blocks from the train station and the large, inexpensive 2 story market/grocery/food court, and even closer to a terrific small café, Sabatino's with very good pastries, sandwiches delicious capachino. Il Ghiro's Manager, Stephan, was professional, welcoming, recommending activities and restaurants. His Internet skills were terrific. Il Ghiro's private room and bath were large, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was modern. 4 stairs up worth it!
