Awesome place to stay at if you like small hostels, it felt like an apartment more than a hostel since you could use the kitchen and have dinner with the other backpackers. The host, Olga, gave us some great tips (you have to to try the gelato places she tells you AMAZING). The downside was the cleanliness of the bathrooms, especially the shower curtains... there was mold. We also couldn't find any more toilet paper for a day. Good location but pretty far from the train station.

More like a sharehouse then a hostel! Caterina isnt there very regularly so they tend to leave the guests to look after themselves, it actually works really well most of the time and we got on great with the other guests. Location is pretty good and if you walk around you will find some cool places to eat and drink not far away (its only a small town!). Bathrooms weren't the cleanest but were still okay to use

This hostel is wonderful, only 9 beds in all so small. But i had great roommates and we made dinner together in the kitchen every night. Clean bathrooms, and beds. Just 20 minute walk from the train station then 5 to the city center.

Stayed 4 days in Bologna Cons:Staff non-existent but flexible;Location is a bit far from the Main Station(15-20min by walking)but still okay for visiting the centre of Bologna and other cities;Value for money is not good-it should cost around 20 euros for what you get;Not a real hostelling experience;Another impovised bed was added on the weekend although I booked a 4 bed room; Pros:Lockers big,Two showers,Good beds Tip:5 bed room-less noise Recommend:Yes,since there is nothing better in Bologna

This is the type of hostel for independent travelers. There are no hostel related activities: tours, etc. The actual hostel is a flat. There is no reception on staff; therefore, you have no one to ask questions to or ask about the city unless they are around. The bathrooms were disgusting with flooded floors and mold on the walls. Breakfast was stale cereal and crackers that sit out all day. I didn't see one person clean the flat until the day I left. The staff are very nice, when around.

I had a really nice stay at Il Nosadillo! It is very close to the city center and easy to get to from the airport using the Aerobus. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The hostel is small but pleasant and cosy. Breakfast is available, but I encourage you to go out and have your breakfast the Italian way! I would definitely go back there when I visit Bologna again.

The hostel was pleasant and small, with only two rooms. It is situated very close to the historic center, and it is easy to get there from the train station. The host was very nice and interesting, though she did have some problems with punctuality. Breakfast was available all day, and there were snacks also. It was a very pleasant experience.

We had a pleasant stay at Il Nosadillo. It's the perfect hostel if you just look for a place to have a shower and get some sleep. Clean, comfortable, and very conveniently located. I will definitely go back there if I visit Bologna again.

Being in El nosadillo has been like being at home! the athmosphere is super relaxed, the girls came to receive us, and then we were there as if we were in our own house :) tyhe appartment is very well situated, in the very center of Bologna, next to piazza san Marco but in an area where there are not noises that bother or so... the decoration is very cozy and simple :) and the building is an old building typical from some italian cities, very cool!! i would definitely come back there!

It's a small clean and cosy hostel and the beds were comfortable. Make sure you turn up before 7pm though or they charge you 10 Euros extra! I would skip their breakfast and head for a nice Italian café.

My experience here was great. I was in Bologna for a fair, and had to find a place to stay for an extra night because I couldn't find one beforehand (actually I was planning on crashing with someone, but that didn't work out). I asked if I would be able to stay one more night and they did their best to accommodate me and it worked out great! There is breakfast in the morning, and you can also use their kitchen for any other food preparation.

Very good hostel! Just bear in mind that there's no reception desk per se, so if no one's the building, you'll be stranded outside.

Management were really helpful when we were looking for an apartment to stay in with advice and tips. The hostel was very quiet although so was another one that we stayed in in Bologna, I think it's probably because they're like converted apartments. We liked having the freedom to come and go as we pleased and because there isn't a reception in the hostel we were able to relax in the sitting room as if it was our own place. The wifi is very good and acess to a kitchen saves money.

No tumble dryer and no staff on site 24/7 also the room at the front of the house was rather noisy with traffic but overall a good hostel close to the centre and easy enough to find from the station even if it is about 20 minuets walk. However the staff were disorganised, they emailed and texted me on the day I was due to arrive to ask what time I was intending to get there, this is unproffessional in my opinion if they needed to know they should have asked when I booked.

Great little hostel, it felt more like a small apartment, we were very independent but met with welcome and good advice/directions/map from the girls who work there, definitely check out the restaurants they recommend!
