The hostel is very conveniently located. Next to a busy street but close to everything. The owner is very kind and thinks about almost everything the guests might need (information, timetables for buses, holes in lockers to charge devices, etc...) Only the beds squeak if you move in them. Over all maybe the best hostel we've been to during our trip.

We enjoyed our stay at this clean, comfortable place - bottom bunk beds have privacy curtains which is a nice touch, and lockers are large enough to fit a backpack. Well-equipped kitchen with free coffee and tea, and cereal/toast for breakfast. The owner, Phil, goes above and beyond to make his guests feel welcome, and we loved chatting with the other staff as well!

In the end it is all about people who create the place and make in unforgettable - and with Phill and his staff you can be sure this hostel will be exactly one of those place you will always feel good in and you will always remember. Philll himself travelled the world and just knows what travellers want and need when on the road. Positive vibe, welcoming and laid-back atmosphere, super friendly and helpful staff included in price - one cannot possibly ask for more when choosing a hostel :)

Great place to recover and great and comfortable beds, Phil that runs it is a cool guy that made my stay as enjoyable as possible. Little small for big groups, still one of the better places I have stayed. Using my in old shoes beer holder at home made a great parting gift.

The location is great, walkable from the central bus/train station and also close to the old town and the fortress. The hostel was very clean, with a comfortable room and we were able to sleep well (we stayed in the private room and not a dorm room). The staff was helpful and gave us great tips about what to see and where to go. We wanted a clean, safe, and quiet place to sleep and a good base for exploring the city, so it was perfect for us!

This is a great hostel! The beds are really comfy and the place is very clean. The staff are really helpful and can give you lots information about the city as well as information about traveling around the Balkans. The location is really good too!

One of the best hostels I've ever seen. The owner and the staff are super cool and will make sure you enjoy your trip and will show you the best places in town. The hostel is a big apartment with only a few rooms, which makes you feel at home and it's great to meet fellow travelers. The rooms are not too crowded and have big lockers and many power plugs. There is a nice TV room and a good kitchen. It's also perfectly located, close to the center and the train/bus station. Stay There !

Make sure you stay here if you're in Belgrade By far the best hostel I've ever stayed in, ticks all of the boxes. Perfect location, staff, beds, towels and facilities. We met with the owner Phil, an Aussie who travelled all over the world backpacking. He explained he has designed it around the small thinks that backpackers want, and that's what you get.

Phil is very very friendly and hospitable! He told us everything we want to know : where to go where to find where to drink where to eat, even where to swim :) No problem with breakfast: coffee, tea, cereals, toasts, etc. The hostel is made from an ordinary flat but with two bathrooms. A private room is cute, with balcony and air conditioning. Wi-fi is ok. We stayed 2,5 days and Phil didn't take a full price for the third night. Thank you, Phil!

Where do i start? Our experience at In Old Shoes was absolutely fantastic!! The location is great, rooms / facilities are lovely and clean and more importantly the vibe was awesome! I have stayed in a lot of hostels over the years and so often you feel like a number clocking in and out. This is NOT the case at IOS, its run by Phil who was great and made our stay excellent! It was more like visiting a friend rather than just a place to stay! Book with confidence, have a blast! We WILL be back!

The location is great, convenient for the best parts of town, easy walk from bus station and next to the bus stop going out to the airport. The hostel itself is nice and the staff, especially the owner, are incredibly helpful and do genuinely go out of their way to help you out beyond almost anywhere we've been before. Definitely a good choice for a place to stay in Belgrade

Great hostel located centrally. Run by an Australian who has travelled extensively himself, Phil. He has thought of everything to make life convenient & comfortable. Everything is in good working order. Beds & pillows are super comfy. Good breakfast of cereals & toast. He even has vegemite!. Plenty of varieties of tea to choose from anytime of the day & coffee of course. Phil & his staff are very friendly & full of info. He has buss timetables, maps etc.
