Pino, the man that runs breakfast, is incredible. He made my stay at Independence Square amazing. It is a great location in Rome, it's clean, safe, and totally worth the money.

I really enjoyed my stay here. We only talked with one man but he was very personable and seemed to actually care about his guests. He spoke both english and italian with us which was much appreciated because we like to use our italian as much as possible. The other residents were respectful and the hostel was very clean. I had read that others had thought the breakfast was lacking. It seemed very traditionally italian: 2 pastries, Orange Juice, cafè. For me, that was perfect.

Independence square inn was excellent. We weren't sure what to expect, having paid so little for our room, but it was everything we could have asked for - clean, comfortable, and a few minutes' walk from central Rome. We especially loved the man who made us breakfast every morning (he even lent us an umbrella on the one day it rained - thank you!). We would definitely recommend it as being unbelievable value for money.

Room was clean and ensuite fine, the area seemed safe and was close to a supermarket. The included breakfast was just a pastry and coffee but the guy who made it was friendly.
