Hostel is closing very soon. They werent expecting me. Movers were in and out. Also, not cheap
The staff is more or less invisible. During four days I never saw a cleaning person. The beds and the rooms are OK.
Kevin is awesome! From the second we arrived, he sat us down and gave us a map and told us everything we could want to know about Cordoba. He even reccommended some great places for dinner. And then, he let us leave our luggage in reception and came back just to let us in, so we could sightsee after we´d checked out without having to carry our luggage around. And it couldn´t be in a better place, less than 10 min from the Mezquita! Next time I´m in Cordoba, I´ll stay here again!
It is really a student hostel. Our double room was next to a common room and a bathroom. The walls were thin that and the plumbing is very noisy.Often we were woken-up by people preparing food in the kitchen. The room was very dark, but nicely decorated. We had no feeling of privacy. There was no problems with access to shared bathroom but it it wasn't cleaned daily. You need pay extra for towels. The owner explained us what and when we can see in Cordoba and where to eat. We appreciate that.

We have enjoyed stayment in this hostel during our travels. Because of misfortunate it was rainy and really quite cold inside but owner had given us a heater into our room which helped us a lot. Such gesture we really appreciated and I will go again into this hostel once Cordoba is in plan again in future!
Nice rooms, good beds, awesome roof terrace with great views, friendly staff and great food next door. All you can ask for in a hostel, really...
This is a wonderful hostel in Cordoba. The owner Kevin is very helpful. Gave me a lot of tips for getting around in the city. Its just a few minutes away from the mezquita and directly at the river. The hostel is a very nice building. The room was spacious and really nicely decorated. The kitchen was great as well as the terrace on the roof, especially for drying my clothes after washing. I highly recommend this place!
Great location, very central, easy to walk to everything, next to the bus stop to go direct to the train station. Owner was there when I arrived but strangely didn't say who he was but passed me to a friendly and enthusiastic French student, who was helping him out. I was on the ground floor where for 2 nights I was the only person. Security good but lighting dim to unlock all the doors. No natural lighting or windows atall to ground floor rooms. Wins on location but otherwise average.
Excellent location for visiting the old town of Córdoba. Staff (Kevan) very friendly and helpful. I didn't like my room as it had another bed nailed to the wall in a bunk bed style but all the other rooms I saw were lovely. Bathroom could do with an upgrade. Enjoyed my stay very much.
You don"t have to go there to meet people. That's why name of the hostel is "Independant" ! Well located, the staff is giving a lot of recommendations that is really appreciable ! Is missing a common room where you can sit somewhere and relax.
Kevan is a real hostel-father, thank you for all the helpful informations and the kindness. The roofterrasse is wonderful to relax, to enjoy sun and the riverview. You can realy feel at home, if you don`t mind, that the light in the room is not very bright, that you have to be tolerant with other guests and that there is not so much privacy. The hostals location is great, you can reach it by bus 3 directly from the station Renfe or bus and you can walk by foot to all interesting areas in Cordoba
amazing location, amazing price, kevin was so incredibly helpful and informative of all the good places to go and things to do in cordoba! we were there in the winter so there weren't many others but in the summer there is a rooftop patio with views of the river, absolutely incredible! would definitely stay there again!!
By far the best hostel I've ever stayed in - clean, spacious rooms, all with windows and numerous power points, fully-equipped kitchens on every floor so no queuing up to cook and loads of space in the fridge for cava! Brilliant location right on the river with a huge, sunny roof terrace, easily accessed by public transport. Good mix of guests of all ages, from all over so a great atmosphere, and brilliant owner Kevan genuinely wants to make your stay fun and comfortable. Plus exceptional value!
Kevan gave us great info and the room was very very nice. Also the terrace is great. Only problem was that at first there was no hot water, but then it was fixed.
Good hostel in a good location, easy to find, easy to find parking great info given, really organised. Few minor points - really poor lighting in the rooms - couldn't read a book before bed, also no power point that was accessible in the room - 3 people with an average of 3 chargeable items had to use the bathroom and kitchen. No soap in bathrooms, and 2 euros for towels was a bit much.
