The hostel was clean and it's close to a train stop, but I wouldn't stay here again. The internet was really bad, and I felt like they were charging us for every amenity.

it was nice. but too big for me. no coziness, but the feeling you are a small piece of a big machine. i don't like the shower and power sockets. location is great though.

Nice place to stay a combined hostel and hotel. Great facilities, a bar downstairs with fussball and pool table. Had a nice atmosphere to hang out there. Close to a lot of cool cubs and bars. Only problem was wi fi didnt connect in room but that was fine plenty of space to sit in the lobby.

The staff is not as knowledgable as we would have liked. The best receptionists know their city so well and can dream up day itineraries quickly. This staff could not--or the receptionists I spoke with. It was quite frustrating when arriving to a city and knowing nothing about it. It is overwhelming.

Great location near the East side Gallery and walking distance to many of Berlin's big clubs, this hostel was clean and our 8 bed dorm was HUGE. Lots of space. Really liked the hostel, the only downfall was that there was never enough staff manning the front desk - waited at least 25 min to check in as only one girl was there. Also, the wifi was very temperamental and would stop working for several hours for some people, and work fine for others. Strange. Would recommend though!

If you're looking for somewhere clean in a good location then I would definitely recommend this hostel. The main thing that let the place down for us was the staff and the atmosphere. The daytime staff were helpful and pleasant but they were always short staffed which meant having to wait in line on several ocassions, and we found the guys working in the evening quite rude and dismissive so we chose not to take advantage of the cheap drinks at the bar and we would hang out elsewhere instead.

The hostel was fine--big, clean rooms and large communal areas. The staff were pretty terrible though. As I was checking in (rather early) the girl working at the desk was muttering under her breath in German to her coworker (not realizing or bothering to find out that I speak German) and complaining about how annoying it is when people check in early. There was always a huge line of people waiting for assistance at the front desk and the staff were generally unhelpful and unfriendly.

A special thank to Sandra that was by far the most sympathetic receptionist staff person. We were very well welcomed by her. To level up the general atmosphere could be nice to make people meet each other(special nights, speed dating, hang outs in discos)

Very nice stuff, really large dorms, the best location to visit Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg. Other points are rather similar to all big hostels.
