We liked everything about Inka's rest - friendly owners, comfortable rooms with hot showers, nice kitchen facilities, wifi :) We had a room on the third floor, which had a really nice living-room like lounge area, and free tea all day. We arranged two tours (nearby ruins and lake tour/homestay) and onward transport with them, and were really happy with everything. Would DEFINITELY recommend this place!

Alfred and Gilda the owner very nice person, always willing to help. Good prices for bus tours or tickets. Hot water, good wi-fi. Rich breakfast, complete.

The hostel itself was okay, however, I was very disappointed in how irresponsible the staff was. Due to their mistake in booking the transportation, I nearly missed my flight. What really made me mad was their "it's none of my business" kind of attitude after they find out the transportation originally booked went wrong, they just couldn't careless even though that was their mistake.

Great place to stay! Perfect! the tours they book are fine too - I took the 2-day trip to Titicaca with overnight at Amaltani island for 80 soles. Was just incredibly great! They even managed to book the tour with our arrival quite late. You can also get bus tickets easily and cheaply through them.

Nice hostel and good location, close to the centre. Owner was friendly upon arrival. But he made me feel uncomfortable regarding the viewings/excursions, putting pressure for buying through him...

I stayed there for 2 nights and it was really good. I stayed in the dorm which you have got enough space for all your bags. You have got a TV room with a computer, you have to share it with other people from 2 other rooms, it is really nice to meet people. The staff was really nice and helpful. I really liked to talk with them! They have got the best marmalade ever! It based on papaye, it is just delicious... Really good hostel

Inka´s Rest was very enjoyable. Unlike many hostals in Peru, this is an actual hostel with dorms and social area to meet people. Alfredo was extremely friendly (good sense of humor too) and helpful. He books everyone´s trips to the islands and to Sillustani as well as buses to ongoing destinations. He knows all--and for each tour and bus, you are picked up at the hostel. Great location and internet too.

The hostel looked a bit run down but was actually OK, no problems with hot water, the owner was super helpful with trips and information, would definately stay there again if in puno.

very friendly owners. breakfast included whole fresh fruits. private ensuite room had hot showers as well as cable tv and a dvd player. wifi worked well in the room the first day but went out later that night - owners appeared to be working on the issue and there was a computer in the common area. owners also let us print a travel document for free! only a few minutes walk to the main square/bolivian consulate.

Very warm and friendly welcome! They also helped us a lot. For example to call a doctor (and get a lot of tea), book a tour on Titicacalake and a organise a Bus to Bolivia.

Inka´s Rest was a haven for us. The staff was amazingly helpful and always friendly. The decor was colorful and cheery and made us feel comfortable. At breakfast the coffee was great and we also enjoyed the fresh fruit. We would recommend this hostel to everyone.

I don't recommend here. The owner looks good but he abuse any other agency. If you book your Ulos tour by yourself, he told you to ignore that booking and make you to use his one. That's why this hostel has bad reputation from local agency. You must feel bad coz he says you cannot enjoy your travel with your agency, but it should be good! you shouldn't listen to what he says. the location is OK. not safe so much tho. Locker is just a cupboard on the shelf, so not good.

I have no idea what everyone here is talking about. we felt very uncomfortable in the hostel. plus, before we arrived he sent us a mail warning us about tourist agencies that overprice for tours and offered he´s own. so we booked through him to realize (out fault for not checking with others) that in fact we paid the highest in our tour. plus, at check out, he tried to charge higher prices than the ones stated in the mail.

A great stop off point between Peru and Bolivia in the nice town of Puno, a really lovely little hostel with a very helpful and friendly owner, Alfred, who helped us with transfers and the worthwhile tour to the Floating Islands of Uros. Super clean, great location, free internet and nice, compact kitchen. We felt really at home there and Alfred always did his best to make us feel welcome, including recommendations for our altitude sickness! Recommended.
