This hostel was reasonable. Paid for a double room with a shared bathroom and for this price u only had to share the bathroom and lounge-room with one other room. However I found the hostel owner really condescending when I did not want to use the tour he recommended. However a reasonably descent hostel close to the the plaza de armas. Alfred is brilliant, he is very welcoming and hospitable! The set up is brilliant, our room shared a lounge, computer, kitchen and dining area with just 2 other rooms! Very helpful owners who organised great cheap tour of the islands for us. Rooms are laid out in a different way from normal, our double room shared a bathroom and private living room with only one other room. I have first hand experience of how prickly the owner can be. He told us on arrival that we had called the day before to change our booking and had clearly made a mistake, but practically accused us of lying. This is before we had even checked in! That aside the hostel is nice and clean (kitchen is a little small, there is a small oven but no oven trays), and location is good for puno. Overall, the hostel was very good. The location is good and the hostel is in very good condition. Each room is divided into an apartment style setup where two rooms share a living space with a tv, coach, and dining room table. Beds are comfy and warm. The owner is alittle odd.
