The staff was often missing from the front counter, or seemed confused as to how things were run. The door on our room closed slowly, and then suddenly slammed shut every time, waking everyone in the room up each time someone came in or out.

Great location, friendly staff and good facilities. Such a relaxing smoking area with a community spirit and a excellent view from the bay window.

Great location & staff!

Ok to stay! Just a bit of a track to get to central and very confusing with all the canals!

Awesome location. Shower didn't have a door or curtain, which was a bit weird

by far the worst hostel i have stayed in Europe after 4 months of travelling. rooms are tiny and gross the staff are a bit unusual and for a Saturday night I paid 100 euros. can't even say a good word about this place. this place is a joke

Not the worst place but there is much better in Amsterdam. I only booked here last minute because others were booked out. Rooms are tiny, no bar, not enough bathrooms. Location is sweet.

Fantastic hostel with awesome rates inbetween the museums and the red light district. Wish I had of been able to stay longer!

It was amazing guys. Thank you!

It was a quiet place to sleep a little small in the rooms and the bathroom light needs to stay on it is a little inoying to have it shut off every 10 seconds. Beds were comfy.

Not the best location but the smoking lounge was awesome and met a bunch of cool people. overall would definitely stay here again

All together, a decent value. It's clean, no major issues. The price is good as long as you aren't there Saturday night (best to avoid staying in AMS then). Two things that would improve the experience: more outlets and more legitimate common areas. There's the reception area and a smoking area, but neither work super well for simple mingling if you don't care for MJ. I wouldn't have a problem staying here again.

Nice hostel if you're keen to smoke up, as they have a dedicated smoking room. Facilities aren't too bad. Overall, you pay for what you get.

Location was good, it was clean and WiFi was reliable. It had a smoking room if you're into that, but my friend and I did not smoke. You've got to climb a very high, narrow flight of stairs to get the hostel, so make sure you're up to it and not too drunk.

Over all the hostel is a good hostel the only real complaint is that there is no kitchen.

We checked in and picked our beds, then headed out. We were eating early next the morning, only staying one night. After we went through the check in process, we asked what the was procedure for checking out early. They wanted us to come back at 11pm to check out. We went out for the night, and when we came back, a woman had taken the bed I had previously picked (and told the staff of). Towels were 2 euros each, but the bathroom with the shower didn't even have a working light.

The hostel was clean. That is about the only positive thing I have to say about this hostel. Water is 2.50 euro which I think is unfair considering tap water is not provided. Several of the staff members are rude. An Irish guy could not answer my question saying I'd have to wait 15 mins. It's like dude your making an egg sandwich it's not that hard. Terrible hostel for solo travellers. But would be okay for groups. Would not stay there again. Be smart book ahead for the flying pig.

No kitchen, microwave facility is available though. Everything else was alright.

Paid about 70 euro a night for three nights... Way too expensive but was all available. Hostel was clean, slightly quirky and accommodating. Rooms have lockers and wifi. No real complaints. Not the best in world to meet people as a solo traveler but good.
