The hostel located in a quiet area which also is within walking distance to hakata station. Beds are clean. I enjoyed my three days stay here and I will pay a visit again if I go to Fukuoka.

There is BOTH "International Hostel Khaosan Fukuoka" (IHK) AND "Khaosan Annex" (KA). KA is the ONLY result you get when searching for "Khaosan Fukuoka" on Google Maps (just 750 meters from Hakata station). IHK though is 1.2 km from Hakata st., and far from nearest subway. Entering the address on Google Maps locates just the block. They should have the location on Google Maps fixed, period. Showers: cramped, water stream too strong, curtain damaged. Slippers: stink. Rooms: bed creaks a lot.

Stayed for one night and enjoyed our time here. Staff were well-informed and helpful. Facilities were good and clean. Atmosphere at night was great and we had great chat with fellow travellers. Would stay again!

i book twin room when open the door i just have space to put my 2 luggage . no space to walk. like a khaosan tokyo. the location was bad so long 1 km from hakata station. if you have alot of shopping it was bad to walk back to hotel it lost your power . if you pay more 10 usd yopu can find better hotel around Hakata station.

International Hostel Khaosan Fukuoka is very nice. I booked a 4-person mix bedroom at the beginning but their staff helped me to upgrade it to 2-person bedroom without requesting additional fee. The location of the hostel is a little far away from the nearest railway station but the it is acceptable. Most importantly, staffs and travellers are from all over the world and we stay in one hostel. It likes a small international village with delighting and harmonious atmosphere.

This hostel is not bad to stay if you don't have the big luggage and mind for walking 15 mins. The thing I like here is Hotto Motto (Japanese hot and fast meal) and Lawson (convenient store) nearby the location. And if you planning for having day trip in other city. This hostel is near the HAKATA station where you have to take outbound train. Quite convenient but a bit far from subway and station.

I stayed in a single room on the ground floor which was just opposite to the toilet and the sink and near the reception. It's just annoying when people talking loudly and using hair dryer after 12am... Staff were friendly. The hostel was actually not close to the JR station.

Awesome people there and very friendly, especially for the staff. The Takoyaki Party was great! I have visited quite a few hostels in Japan and International Hostel Khaosan Fukuoka is is certainly among the best!

As far as hostels go, it was okay. One note, however: the directions listed on their website were extremely misleading. I guess they copied and pasted the text directly into Google translate. Get a Fukuoka tourist map and you can find the place listed on the map. It is the cheapest hostel listed online, but it is also quite a hike from Hakata Station.

Good hostel, great location. We booked for a 5 bed dorm and had a 3 bed to ourselves for a night which was nice. The location is definitely a draw card for this one.

Staff could be a bit more friendlier and helpful. Cleanliness was the worst of all the hostels I've been to.

Nice place, good location, good staff - all a traveller needs. Only issue was one guy in the room the first two nights - wouldn't go to bed and sleep. Not the hostels problem but maybe a policy of lights out at 12 would be an idea ( and don't keep turning them on when you come in and out of the room at 1 am, 2 am, 3am .

A great stay on a comfortable bed. Thank you!

Excellent value for money. The location could be better and like many hostels in Japan it can be noisy because of the somewhat flimsy walls, but besides that this is a very nice hostel.

A really nice hostel, located about a 10-15 minute walk from JR Hakata. The kitchen facilities are great, the shower was powerful, and the beds were SO comfortable. The guy working at reception was friendly. I really enjoyed my two nights here. I didn't have a chance to socialise but I got the impression that it's a very social hostel. It has nice communal areas.

Good place, not in the most central location but if you don't mine a 10-15 minute walk then it is okay. Nice facilities, kind and knowledgeable staff.
