This is a fantastic hostel. Check-in time was at three, we got there at one-- and the staff insisted on taking our bags to our room. They made it to our room and were layed out in a lovely fashion. There weren't many shower rooms but that never became a problem. Overall a cozy and cute hostel.

All in all it's a good place to stay while exploring Fukuoka city , if you are lucky you can rent one of the two bike they have there , and it is for free ;-)

NOT RECOMMENDED! The Japanese staff and guests here are very NOISY and DISRESPECTFUL to their sleeping guests and neighborhood. The funny thing is that they wrote notes throughout the whole guesthouse telling the guests to be quiet. Me and my room mates could not sleep. This is one of the worse guesthouses I have ever stayed at.

Lovely hostel and great value for money. They give you vouchers for free sake at their bar which is homely with good tapas. No faults.

The hostel is a fine place to stay, but it doesn`t offer as much as other KHaosans. No free washing powder, salt and oil, even though the have a nice kitchen. The location is semi convinient. You can reach the mainstation by foot and there`s a busstation nearby, but your are just not in an area with manny interesting things around. You almost alwas depend on public traffic. It`s convinient for just staying, but for a lot of tourist programm, you may take a hostel in an other area

Decent place to stay for a budget traveler. The staff was two ladies that were very nice. Both spoke English very well. The rooms are quite small to have four people in them though and have their own particular smell to them, which is understandable for an old place like this. It wasn't the greatest location, but it worked for the one night I stayed in Fukuoka. I'd go back, though I would also check for other places first.

It was a great hostel!!! The only problem was that the walls are sooooo thin. But everything else we loved!

A bit far from the stations. But the facilities at the hostel are adequate.

The Young man at the front desk was very friendly and informative. He assisted me with aquiring a taxi to airport.

One of my go to hostels in Fukuoka. Cheaper than some other options, clean, and always friendly staff. I stayed in a 2 person room for the first time, and it was kind of cramped. I recommend staying in one of the dorms so you have a little more room to move around. Otherwise, always clean and nice staff.

Stayed in a twin room. Beds were comfortable & we had a desk! Showers were clean & had hot water. Staff was helpful, spoke English well & made excellent dumplings for the Tues party! The kitchen has everything: dishes, pans, stove, micro, fridge. Comfy lounge area, wifi worked well. Washing machine & rooftop patio w/ plenty of hangers & racks to hang clothes. Negatives: a bit out of the main area, but can take metro or bus. Also, we noticed MOLD on the bottom of our mattresses. Would stay again

We only stayed one night but I'd also stayed there about five years ago and the place hadn't changed a bit. Very clean, modern and friendly... The location can seem a bit inconvenient when you have heavy bags.

I only stayed here one night. I came with one of my housemates from Kyoto and the location is really close to Hakata Station. But all the action seems to be on the other side. Thanks for the stay.

I have stayed at other Khaosan before that were nicer than this one. The bathroom situation was my problem, I think. I stayed on the 3rd floor, which housed something like 12 girls, but there was only one bath and shower for ALL of them; many girls will know that is a bit of a time and convenience issue. Essentially they only had that one shower for all the girls staying in the hostel (I didn't stay in a private room, so I cannot speak for that), while boys had showers on 1st and 2nd floors.

I had stayed for about a week for kind of business. Totally clean and cozy, and staffs are good, especially Mr. Kihara. I could make friends in common space. Next time, I want to come here on a trip. Hope you guys will enjoy this hostel!

There was a lack of shower rooms and wash basins for what seemed like a crowded night at the hostel.
