It was nice, the staff is helpful, the 3 people private is right next to the showers, so you always hear someone taking one. The shower rooms were nice and not cold like other buildings in Japan, the staff speaks english, nice common room.

Nice place. Staff is more than willing to help out with whatever you need. There are also a lot of resources like maps and guides for visitors to use. Overall good experience.

For 2 days in a row we woke up in the morning with a birds eye view of Sakurajima. A few hours later the area was covered with cloud. This is the perfect location to see Sakurajima. From JR station catch a number 11 bus to the end of the line at the pier.

Loved the common room area - great place to chill and meet people from all over the world. My only complaint was that the girl's shower room on the 3rd floor looked like it really needed to be scrubbed down. All the bathrooms on the 1st floor were really clean, though.

Pros: Staff is quite knowledgeable about Fukuoka, and can give good recommendations about places to visit. Inexpensive Third floor has a nice kitchen and common area. Good wi-fi Cons: It\'s a bit far (10 to 15 minutes by foot) from Hakata Station (though they do give good directions for getting there). No breakfast available. Overall: I would willingly stay here, if I were to visit Fukuoka again.

I had a great time in Fukuoka, thanks to the wonderful place of Khaosan Fukuoka hostel. Everyone was polite and friendly, and our room was clean and spacious. All the amenities were there and the other guests were a little quiet, but polite. Overall, it was a fun experience for me.

This hostel was great, it had a very good setup for the common rooms with a spacey kitchen. A supermarket very close also. It is a 10 min walk or so to the station but is very easy. Staff speak good English and helpful if asked questions. Has a DVD room with a few DVDs. You should go to the standing bar if you want a quick drink local. Found the showers annoying though having to press the button every 10 seconds to keep the water running, maybe I was doing something wrong

Need to walk a bit, but the directions provided to the Hostel from the Railway station is the clearest of all the hostels. The cleanest and most modern facilities of all Hostel.

The hostel was rather difficult to find at night (especially since the map on the pamphlet has a couple mistakes on it). Once there, everything was not great, not bad, just okay. My room ( 2 bunk beds) was very dark and small, but other rooms seemed fairly alright. If you have been to other Khaosan hostels, you can expect pretty much the same standard.
