Overall, the hostel was what we were expecting for the price. It was basic, but clean. We weren't expecting bunk beds though. I think the description said that it was a twin room. The bunk beds weren't a problem, but it would have been nice to know what we were getting. The walls are very thin, however the other guests were quiet at night so it wasn't an issue. The shower had very low water pressure and didn't go quite hot enough. Check-in was simple, great location.

Great location - in the very centre of town. It is some drawback that, even at the declared arriva time, the owner need not be on site and will have to call him. We were lucky that a cleaning person worked there when we arrived so that we were able to get in. Remember to ask the owner to turn on heating, since it can be quite cold in Inverness even in April. In general, recommended.

We had a great stay, this hostel was fantastic value for money at £10 a night. The wifi definitely deserves mentioning as it was fast and available everywhere within the hostel. It was also nice to have a kitchen and sitting room available to us for our group to meet up outside of our rooms.

It sounded weird where we got to the main door and saw the instructions we had to follow in order to get in the house. You have to call to the owners phone number and they will pop in there and give you your room key. Staff was very nice and helpful. Negative point: bathroom and kitchen were very dirty. However, the bedroom was clean.

This hostel was a bit hard to find, but once we did, it was perfect. The owner is wonderful and helpful and the rooms are nice and clean. It is located right by the river Ness and by many shops and beautiful churches. The bus station is walking distance away and there are bus stops all around if you want to travel around a bit. I would highly recommend taking the Jacobite tour of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. I would absolutely recommend this hostel.
