Nice Hostel, Looks like you spend the night at someones house. easy walk to the Metro and not to far if you want to walk to downtown.

Really convenient location. Nice staff, rooms with A/C and beds very comfortable. Breakfast could be better.

The staff were pretty helpful (they helped with the luggage and the use of the washing machine / dryer). They also kept the common washroom very clean, which was a big thumbs up to my friends and I. Thanks to them, we had a pleasant stay.

The room was ok but not good for 5 people with 5 bunk-beds. Might be good for 4 persons with 4 separate beds.Ron is polite and responsible. Other staff is polite but not responsible. The kitchen is the hottest place on 4th floor with no AC/Fan. Ron asked one of his staff members to fix a fan but he ignored.Fatima is good but always issuing "orders". One of her orders was to dry up the floor of the only bathroom attached to the room.At least 7 people including Fatima use this only bathroom.

Best of the 4 hostels we stayed in on a NYC/WDC trip; friendly, relaxed & homely atmosphere. In a good location (though we were advised not to walk down the particular st it was on late at night, but the parallel st was fine & busier), a short walk from the bus stop but also an easy walk to to a lot of the sites. Room was clean, well stocked with books, maps, magazines & a big tv plus nice staff & a good communal lounge. Over and above what we expected from a hostel. Recommend.

It has a good environment of communication with the other guest and with the staff. And it has a piano, for those who can play it :)

I like it, I enjoy staying there but I didn´t like having to pay more than what they told me in the web page

Probably would not stay at this hostel again. I paid for a 5 bed deluxe room and was in a room with 8 beds. The breakfast was very minimal. They also advertised that they had parking but I had to lock my car in the rear of the building and had a difficult time parking my car because of the tight space. The staff was very kind and it is very close to the Metro.

The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable about how to get around DC. The beds/pillows were comfortable. The location is great.

Plastic sheets on the bed will never win me over. No maps of Washington available until I asked. Lots of random furniture in the room and the ladders to the bed that didn't look too secure.

Easy to walk everywhere in the city, but also 2 blocks from the subway buses. The subway stop is 3 stops from the central train station. Limited bathrooms, but hostel wasn't very full when I was there so no issues. Code-locks on everything. Nice place to stay for a few days, but might be a little cramped in high season.

The owner of the hostel would really benefit by cleaning up the front and rear garden of the property. The back garden has great potential as a place to gather, have cookouts, etc. First impression while coming up to the front was not good. A little tidying up would do wonders. Once you get past that, the staff was friendly, the location was great, and the building was kept clean.

I have a small complaint, related to this web site, or perhaps the interaction with the hostel. The price that I had to pay was higher than indicated during the booking. At the hostel, I was said that the price found on the web site was excluding taxes, and that I had to pay a few dollars more. I think this was not clear at all during the booking phase.

It is a very homey hostel and everything is good, walkable distance to the mall and union station. Staff is super nice. Facilities are very clean. Only things need to say is that it seems like there is only one bathroom/ toilet for people to share so it can be a little bit painful. And the bed makes quite a lot of noise when you turn. Apart from that, it is awesome and I enjoyed very much!! Will definitely stay again if I come back to washington dc

The hostel is in a very quiet neighborhood, veeeery close to the Metro, and within a good walk from the Capitol. The rooms and facilities could be newer (our beds were very noisy) and they should think about setting one more bathroom for the top floor. Nevertheless, they have tons os good will and great deals (the discount at the supermarket is just awesome!) and we had a very nice stay! Would definitely come back!

A little hard to find but not terribly so. It's not marked but look for the house number. Very clean bathroom but a little competitive to get into it in the morning since it's shared between all the residents. Clean linens and a blanket provided, but it still got a little cold. Wifi was available for free and worked well. Only stayed one night and left early-ish so I didn't partake of the complimentary breakfast.

Good location - within walking distance to the National Mall. Had own lockers with codes for the main door and the room door. Room was warm and cosy.
