It is not very practical to have to leave your luggage at the reception (especially if you are in a room on the 4th floor. Also the limited number if bathrooms makes it all very uncomfortable (2 bathrooms only on the 4th floor for 4 dorms of 8 beds each = 2 bathrooms for 32 people???!)

The price and the location are the best. Although the fact you cannot take your luggage to the room is quite annoying. It's close to the park and 2 subway station, this is very good for those who plan to go out late.

We took the wrong train so we couldn't make it to 11 pm the time when the staff goes home but I called them and they stayed and waited for us. They were very friendly even if we were 10 minutes late. It's a very cheap place to stay when you're in NYC. Nothing luxury and its old. But still good enough. Super if you think of the price and location.

Excellent hostel considering price and location: uptown Manhattan. Staff is friendly and decent kitchen. Could use some more toilets and doesn't have wifi, but good vibe for meeting people. Only problem for me was that some people in the hostel clearly were not used to sleeping in dorms. If you want to book this place, please have respect for the people sleeping in the evening or early morning. You don't have as private room! That being said: enjoy NYC!

Great place for a pleasant stay! One should be reminded that if travellers need to leave early in the morning before the office desk hour (8am), he/she needs to take their luggage the night before.

The only bad thing was that they aren't WI FI, but there is a Starbucks near, so.. you can use.

It's a great place that really impressed me. It was definitely more than what I expected for the price. There is a nice living room to hang out and also a kitchen to cook. They provide some nice books to reas as well as the cutlery needed. It's close to a subway station which allows you to go wherever you want, plus it's near of Central Park. Great place!

It is far from the downtown, but only one block away from the subway (that is open 24 hours). The staff is gente, and the facilities are aceptable, although there is no supply of anything but dishes, cups and cuttlery (no even sugar). It is a good place for the money you have to pay.

I felt that the cleaning hours were a tad excessive, but overall I had a great stay and everyone was friendly and helpful enough.

The hostel in itself was poorly furnished and there was no room to store the luggage, not even a locker inside the rooms. Valuables like phones and chargers should not be left in the room. We had to run down 3 stories to access our bags. One of the bathrooms didn't work, and the female stuff is uncooperative and rather rude. Th male staff was friendly and helpful. The security is another issue, the rooms are in no way locked and can be accessed by everyone who is inside the building.

Such a wonderful and community based atmosphere! This is my second time staying here, I would recommend it to anyone. The staff is friendly and knowledgable about the city. They are also very deliberate about cleaning and the safety of the guests. Great stay!

The Hostel is amazing, the staff is really helpful, and the facilities like storage room and living room are great. The wi-fi free zone bothers sometimes, but is good for helping people getting to know each other.

It was better than I expected. I just want to request about restroom. Having only 2 restrooms for 3 dormitory rooms is too liitle to use compare to the number of students. I hope there are more restroom at least one more.

This hostel is not the best for single travelers, since they don't have a real good common area (no bars, pool, or anything that would make people stay in for a while), but u can still make a lot of friends. They were pretty reasonable about the cleaning at 11 AM, so if u were still sleeping they would clean other areas first and not kick u out of the room. Value for money is excellent, since they are one of the cheapest in NY, with a very good location and a sub station half a block away.
