Such a fabulous location and fantastic value for London. Our twin room with a private bathroom was basic but clean and quiet at night. The fridge was a great surprise. The only problem was the temperature in the room. We arrived after a short heatwave in July and the first night was like a sauna, in spite of room fans. The window only opens a few centimeters. Then it got a bit better because of colder weather, but during the heatwave it must have been impossible to sleep.

Unfortunately no aircon in the rooms and the windows were unable to open more than a sliver so no fresh air was able to enter. The rooms were very stuffy and the fans provided could do little to help. Otherwise, the room was clean and satisfactory. The bathroom however had a lot of black mould on the roof and floor of the shower.

The staff was friendly and efficient at check-in/check-out. We opened the window for air circulation/temperature control but the street sounds were incredibly loud. It’s a big city- we get it! But, if you are a light sleeper, this maybe isn’t the place for you. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and the room was clean, but the hall carpet could use some love. Good location and generally good value for money in London.
