During my stay around Scotland, I have never been in a hostel that was as friendly and well-kept ast this. I enjoyed staying in the Student Hostel in every respect: The place is cosy and clean, the staff are very friendly, helpful and competent, I loved the common room with its view down to the river Ness, and enjoyed the excellent breakfast that there was on offer, with house-made fresh scones and everything, for a very reasonable price. I will definitely be back some time for a longer stay!

The hostel is very central, so that you can go anywhere by foot. The rooms were quite pretty and not as small as you might seen in other hostels. We had a nice view from our room on the river (but I guess we were just lucky, some rooms were towards the street). The beds and showers all seemed to be clean. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful too. The only thing I didn't like was the very creepy roommate we had. But when we complained about him, the staff took care of the problem. :))

Great hostel, with great and fun charachter. Lots of free stuff (box for free shampoo and soap left by other travellers in the shower, lots of spices in the kitchen - small stuff that make a huge difference for the weary backpacker that's been on the road without a properly scented soap or spiced meal for months). the location is ok but it's a little walk from the bus station which isn't the best when you arrive and leave with all your luggage. pretty clean.
