The location was good as it is just behind the bus station and a very near walk to the town centre..However, the lockers in the room were in a very bad condition and the shower pressure was bad!! A few of us were forced to take cold showers!! The were only 2 plug points in a 6 bedroom dorm and that made it very difficult to charge our phones and cameras...

I had a great stay at Inverness Tourist Hostel, it deserves to be rated much higher than what it currently is. The staff are fantastic and make you feel at home and part of the group straight away. The whole hostel is bright, clean, and homely with heaps of character. You don't get lost in the crowd. The kitchen is small but has everything that you need and is always nice and clean. Keep up the great work guys! Your doing an amazing job, I'll be back, Thank-you!

Welcoming staff, and good situation in the town, but not the cleanest for Scotland ( as we could go in hostels in Edimbourg (smart city hostel) and Aberdeen (SYHA) very clean!!). Very cheap! and this rocks! Good restaurant there Mustard seed, but book a table before cause it 's full most of the time!

This hostel may not be the fanciest in the world, but the staff (hi Helen!) and long term residents more than make up for that. travelling alone I really appreciated being brought into "the group" pretty much straight away . total share house, community vibe and a great location for exploring inverness. highly recommended to social non-fussy travellers.

Booked it for two nights which was too long. Good if you just need a place for the night while waiting for your bus or train, it right by the bus station. I didn´t like the facilities, the water in the shower was far from hot, there was mauld in the shower and dust and cobwebs hanging from the fan on the ceiling. Rooms were basic, but good. Common room and kitchen were good. They should build a proper locker room. I couldn´t have expected more for the money I guess anyway.

The hostel is very close to the train station, which is great for an early departure. However, we heard loud music through our closed window all night - it made it quite hard to sleep. Cleanliness was okay, but we couldn't figure out how to use the sheet we were given - it was like a bag, but it didn't fit around the comforter. Maybe we were supposed to sleep in it? I had never seen anything like it. In the future I would ask.

The hostel itself is good, no problem in there. But the club right next to it makes it a little bit difficult to sleep. That would be my only objection

Close to the city centre but there was a disco playing loud music right underneath our room. Great kitchen facilities and the toilets and showers were good too, but not that many. The reception closes at 11pm so after that noone can see if people not from the hostel come in, the outside door only need a pin-code and the rooms don't close automaticly so if someone forgets to lock he door anyone can come into the rooms if they have the code for the outside door.

Very impressed. Great location, just yards from the bus station - handy after 3 hours on the bus! Could do with a bit of a clean & a decent shower (quite difficult to get right and wasn't the warmest) And, nobody locked the door on the room so potential security issue for those less trusting. But everyone is there for a good time so no worries. Thoroughly recommended. Key points being the price & location. It's advisable to socialise with most of the guests/staff & enjoy yourself "up North"!!

There weren't many showers and toilets for the whole hostel and no actual bathrooms , and the beds were incrdibly creaky. Otherwise fine for just a weekend stay.

Ger, the manager I met was very helpful, pleasant. The only request is to supply better towels, very stained at present the one I was given, but clean.

Excellent hostel, even free tea and coffee, clean and well kept, shame there weren't more pans and the showers could have had a better flow, for the money it was fantastic. Many thanks

I had a great time at this hostel. All the facilities are great and you couldn't get much better for location. Despite all this, the best thing is the people. The staff and management are friendly and helpful- there's a real community feeling about the place, with a small population of friendly 'long term guests' - everyone was just really nice and really warm. Also, they are all well up for a drink and a laugh. I felt welcomed and at home right away. It was loadsa fun. Recommended.

The overall environment of the hostel is very good,. It is better than what I have seen from the Internet. The staffs are kind. The hostel should open an official Facebook group and I will be the one who like and join this group!
