Couldn't have picked a better place to stay in Inverness. Guitar needs a new D string.

The cheapest option in town. Clean and secure (though locks on the dorm had no keys). The kitchen and sitting room seem are a bit to small (was crowded). Inverness is a small town so it is easy to be close to the city center, and that being said the location is not the best one (kitchen/sitting room windows facing some sort of supermarket or shopping mall). We have been asked to put on and take off the bedsheets ourselves which was a bit odd to me. Generally a good hostel for a short stay.

Good location in town, close to pretty much everything. The only downside is - no laundry on site, and the showers were super tiny and could use some re-caulking to get rid of the mold

The location is perfect and the price makes this hostel an amazing value. The wifi was not very good and they close the kitchen and lodge a bit early but overall great value.

The location is so-so, close to transportation but a little removed from the better part of town. Don't look too closely at the bedding or mattress or you might rethink your stay, seriously gross. Staff didn't really seem to know what they were doing or what was going on. Beds felt like they would fall apart at any moment. Wouldn't recommend or stay again.

The staff were excellent and good banter. They joined us for a game of Cards against Humanity. On the first night a drunk guy came in and slept in one of the other guests rooms and they weren't moved on until they got up and left at 5am. The rooms were quite clean, although got very hot. The shower facilities on the second floor had one shower with no lights and the other shower, you have to hold in place as the holder is broken. Altogether a great trip!

Nice, I recommend it, I just spent one night at the place, but was ok and helped me rest and continue my travel without losing all my money in acomodations.

Perfect location in Inverness (which isn't very big anyway), kitchen a bit small but well furnished, and very cosy lounge area. The only thing that wasn't great was the shower, but when I stayed there they were trying to sort it out. Actually the staff, who was super nice, talkative and welcoming, was working on a lot of different small amelioration to pimp the hostel, so it should get better and better in the upcoming months. Definitely worth staying there.

One thing that sucks is that you have to put your own linens..

Great location, very secure. Staff were very friendly, informative and obliging. Definite value for budget backpacking. The only issue I had was with the beds, the mattresses were old and uncomfortable to sleep in. And maybe the duvets are in need of a good clean :/ I was given fresh clean linen on arrival but a bad smell of sweat lingered in the room. As it was an unusually hot day, although the window was open, there was a smell that was hard to sleep conformably through.

Generally ok. However, kitchen was closed early in the morning. No staff available to open it.

The Inverness Tourist Hostel worked for a quick stay as I needed to take a train early the next morning and arrived late the night before. Amenities were clean enough and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. My only real negative was that it wasn't really a youth hostel, which it doesn't claim to be, but it was somewhat uncomfortable to walk into a room of 40+ year old men late at night and feel comfortable sleeping there as a young woman. The bedding as well was subpar.

A fine hostel, perfectly placed close to the bus and train station and the city centre.
