We’re very clean and offer free luggage storage after check-out, secure bicycle storage, free Wi-Fi, free computer usage and free overnight parking (7pm to 10am; free all day Sunday; 12.01am to 8am Mondays).
We are a modern, lively, fun-filled hostel just yards from the main bus station in the centre of town and five minutes’ walk from the train station. If you’re looking for fantastic budget-priced accommodation with a friendly atmosphere then look no further.
Inverness provides an excellent base to explore the highlands and islands of Scotland. The city has many attractions, including the museum and art gallery, Inverness Castle (with the castle garrison encounter exhibition) and of course the legendary Loch Ness monster around the corner! Inverness is also home to some of the best award-winning live music bars in Scotland as well as restaurants providing amazing food and value.
For all you Outlander fans, Culloden battlefield and the Clava Cairns (inspiration for Craigh na Dun) are a short bus ride away. There are also many tours offered by various companies that explore Inverness, Loch Ness, Glen Affric and many other places of interest. The staff at the hostel can book these tours for you at our tour desk.
Along with this we also have free walking tours and bicycles that are free to borrow – just don’t expect anything fancy!
We have four-, six-, eight- and 10-bed mixed dorm rooms, each with new, comfortable mattresses. There’s hot water 24/7 because of our modern electric showers.
The fully equipped kitchen got all new appliances just in April 2012 and there’s free tea, coffee, milk and sugar all day.
Our comfortable common room features a 42-inch plasma TV. Come play our piano or strum on our guitar – we love musicians!
Reception is open until 11pm but there’s no curfew! Come and go as you please!

the location was perfect. really close to the bus station and centre and the staff was nice and helpfull. the toilets were disgusting. the floor was wet and dirty all the time. the showers were ok. i think you can get a better hostel for the same price. we arrived in the night and saw the next morning thet there was glass on the floor and one of our sheets was full of blood.

Cancellation Policy
This property has a 1 day cancellation policy.Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.
Things to Note
Reception is open between 8am and 11pm.
Check-in: from 1pm to 11pm Please call us if you think you’ll be late.
Check-out: 10:30am.
We have a 72hr cancellation policy. Please arrange cancellations directly with the reception office. If you wish to cancel by email then please do so at least seven days prior to your arrival. No-shows shall be charged the equivalent of the first night’s accommodation or the full price of the tour or other non-accommodation travel service, depending on which you booked.
All group bookings must be paid in full 28 days prior to arrival; any changes or cancellations must be done before this time.
Deposits are never refunded.
Rose street car park charges:
The car park is open seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
Charges apply six days per week, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 12pm.
Parking is free on a Sunday.
Up to 30min €0.20.
For each subsequent 10min period up to 1hr €0.20.
For each subsequent 10min period from 1hr up to 2hrs €0.10.
2hrs to 4hrs €1.50.
4hrs to 9hrs €3.
9hrs to 24hrs €4.
Each subsequent day in excess of 24hrs €2.
