Ipanema Beach House Reviews

I really enjoyed my stay at Ipanema Beach House! For the price, I loved the facilities - such as the atmosphere (the seating in the front and back, along with the pool), and also the breakfast in the morning was great. I thought that there needed to be more activities that brought people together at the hostel, and also potentially a bar set-up. I stayed in a hostel that hosted an optional (paid) dinner every night in Buzios, along with a bar with drink deals.

The 9 bed mixed dorm we were in had a revolting moldy wall, it wasn't nice to sleep next to it. The girl at the reception charged us more money, it was a human mistake, but according to her it was our fault not to tell her we had made the booking through Hostelworld!!! My advice: train your people better.

One of the best hostels I've stayed. Staff is always willing to help; the hostel's outside area is really nice and the swimming pool is pretty clean; the breakfast is really well served. Down sides: The air conditioning is only on during the night, and the room could be cleaner. But in general, loved it!

great location. hostel has a great atmosphere and is very social. nice to sit around at the pool or in the front garden/terrace. rooms are basic enough and could do with more fans.

A lovely hostel with a nice feel to it. The rooms are quite nice and they have lockers. The swimming pool and decking area is really nice if you just want to relax rather than taking a short stroll down to the beach. The breakfast is brillant.

Loved it! Perfect location at Ipanema beach, and the atmosphere at the hostel was great! Paula (staff) was suuuper nice! The other guys wasn't that helpful, but all in all a great hostel. :)
