Breakfast was simple but good, facilities were cleaned often. Building was not well insulated against sound so if you have a hard time sleeping don't pick a hostel.

This hostel is great. The staff is excellent and try to accommodate their guests in any way possible. My only complaints are that there were not enough sinks in the bathroom (only two for an entire floor) and that it was expensive for us to stay there. Overall I had a great experience at Isaacs!

This is a very big and busy hostel - great if you want to be social, or if you're in a group. Very central. Felt a little unclean at times, and there was nowhere to lock up personal belongings in the room, which you would expect in such a huge place. Still, it was all right over all.

It's a nice hostel, but a bit too big. It's so busy, it's hard to feel like home this way... Futhermore the staff is really nice but a bit too busy to answer nicely to everybody. There are no computer in free access, only free wifi. Good point : there is a sauna.

Thanks for your feedback. Generally the atmosphere in Isaacs is generally very friendly so we are so dissappointed you did n't find us homely and a little too big as we are often complimented on the really chilled atmosphere . Yes our staff are really nice ,but it was really busy during your stay so apologies if we could n't spend enough time with you or others. We are ordering new computers soon for guests use. Glad you got to use the free sauna.

I stayed for 1 night with 4 other friends, great location, close to the bus station and easy walking distance to Temple Bar/Trinity/Grafton st etc. Staff were lovely and helpful. The only thing letting this place down was the heat. Even with the window open (which enhanced traffic noise) we were waking up every hour absolutely boiling hot, so we didn't get a great nights sleep.

We really enjoyed our stay at Isaacs and loved the pub crawl they offer every night! Our crawl guide Paul was awesome and made our first night in Dublin memorable.

Rooms are very loud. Only two sinks in the women's bathroom for the whole floor. Faucet knobs need to be pressed every 3 seconds because they turn off very fast. Especially annoying under the shower. We didn't expect much of the breakfast but that was disappointing. This place could be made so much better with small additional things like shower shelves or a hand dryer that actually works!

I liked this hostel, the lounges in the tunnels underground were very cool. Atmosphere is lovely, staff is great. Only complaint I can think of is that the showers smell AWFUL sometimes and the sinks are so small its impossible to wash your face. As a solo traveler I noticed the place attracts groups of friends and couples, so despite the cool atmosphere it was difficult to meet people. Everyone just sits around on their phones/laptops. There is a GREAT breakfast place just around the corner.

Thanks for your great feedback . Usaully Isaacs is a really great place to meet people so may be just during your stay there were fewer solo travelers than normal- but our staff will always talk to you ( we can't shut them up !) We will check out the bathroom and drainage for any maintenance issues as they should not smell, Sorry if you found the sinks too small- that is a first but we will certainly add to the list when looking at upgrades.

I loved this hostel, everything about it. The staff were amazingly helpful and welcoming, the facilities were top notch and the location is great. The only down side was the lack of lockers in the rooms, but they have them downstairs in the basement. I think every hostel should come in and take a note from Isaac's because I am very impressed! Cheers Isaac's, from the Aussie ginger.

Good hostel and good atmosphere

Only stayed here 1 night and weren't here for the atmosphere but lots of people seemed to enjoy hanging out in the large communal room. We were in an 8 bed all girls room and there was no trouble with noise even though people went to bed at different times. Breakfast included coffee, toast and jam, and cornflakes. Only downside was paying a deposit for the lockers located in the basement. The lockers are made out of chain link so we were a little worried about security but it was fine.

Thanks so much for postive feedback - great you enjoyed the atmosphere of Isaccs. PS We need to charge a depost ( refundable ) on the lockers otherwise guests would often forget to return the locks.

For this hostel to be as old as it is and not have lockers in the rooms, especially when there is more than enough room, is a joke. I was up on the 3rd floor and had to go down to the basement to get into my luggage. The pillows might as well be non existant, however the blankets are really warm. This hostel really needs a bar or better organising for a pub crawl then the atmosphere would be much better. In saying all that i did enjoy my stay here. The kitchen, showers and free breakfast great.

We would love to have lockers in the rooms and are looking into this . the plus side of basement lockers is that you can use the lockers before check in if you are early and after check out if you need leave bags for a while - if they were in rooms you could not do this, We will always give you another pillow if they are not to your taste ( it is such a personal thing is nt it as to type of pillows . Usually the atmosphere is one of the best things at hostel but maybe it was just quiet?

Had a great first time in Dublin while staying at Isaac's. the knowledgable, friendly staff gave me some great tips on where to go and what to do during my stay. The rooms andnfacilities were well-kept, and the HUGE locker space you get for €2 per day was perfect for my luggage. Isaac's is just a short walk away from the Temple Bar district, and it had some great restaurants (Thai Spice and Rasher Behan's, just to name two) that didn't break the bank nearby too, which made the location great.

A pleasant hostel, the staff is really friendly and answers all the questions. It's a little bit noisy due to the proximity of the railway. The rooms are clean but in my opinion it lacks a locker.
