The Hostel is really good and I would stay there again, BUT our room (218) was increddible hot. The heat was on all day. We asked the staff to change it, but nothing happend. Try not to sleep in this room, I was in some other rooms and they were ok.

A nice place to stay (I loved the building!) with friendly staff and a very convinient connection to the airport. The room and the bathrooms were clean and we also were very lucky with the roommates in our dorm :D The only thing I could complain about is that it was very hot in the room (so watch out the heating). If you happen to stay there, be sure to take part in the Free Walking Tour - great time with great guides ;)

As we also stayed in two other hostels in Dublin, we can definitely compare and both of us have to say: Isaac's was the most charming place!

Very nice, the only issue was that it was very hot in the rooms. Some staff were friendly but others seemed like they weren't interested in helping us at all.

Isaac's is exeptionally clean and well organized. The staff is super helpfull and friendly. The only drawback I found is that the dormroom I stayed in for 2 days (216) was very stuffy and warm and even with the window open, there was no circulation what so ever. It might have something to do with the heating pipes that run over the walls? I moved to a private room on the other side of the building and it was a lot cooler there.

The room wasn\'t very clean, I had plenty of hairs on my sheets and pillows, the shower and toilet were dirty. The room wasn\'t cleaned once in five days, so it was very disgusting to use the bathroom and sleep in that bed. Most of the outlets didn\'t work and the common room was dirty and had a bad smell. The breakfast and staff were okay, though. I will never stay there again.

Liked everything about it, especially that the staff was really friendly - they even booked a taxi for me for to the airport, even though there are always some outside. Furthermore, it was clean, very safe, next to the bus station and in walking distance to O\'Connell Street. Would definitely recommend it!

We were put into Isaacs Hotel because the hostel was undergoing renovation, but the hotel itself was also very nice.

Isaacs Hostel was simple, clean and friendly. I Would come back for sure (if I could afford Dublin). I was only there 1 night, but was really impressed with the staff and setup. Bunks were standard. I specifically recommend this hostel for people doing the paddywagon tour - the night before or after your tour starts/finishes. I say this because the Paddys Palace's are really bad. The shower button, you have to press every 30 seconds, which is annoying, but I understand the logi

The Hostel is kind of hidden in a small street. But nothing important since it's very close from O'Connell Street and a commercial zones where you could buy any kind of cheap stuff. The staff was very kind and tried to help as much they could. The security is okay, but I dind't like paying 2€ for a locker which also was a bit far from the room zones. The kitchen is big, clean and furnished and the common are is confortable and nice. Also you have a nice reading zone to chill out or use your lap.

The basement and even the main room are well kept and decorated but I felt that the rest of the hostel was a bit dingy and badly built. It felt like more effort was put into the common rooms than the rooms. Also it smelt a bit dewy in the hallways and definitely in the room. The breakfast was the typical cereal and bread with jam. Something that was great was the connection with the free tour of Dublin. VERY comprehensive. Try to get Daniel as a tour guide, he was great!

HI there, Thanks for your review! Isaacs Hostel is housed in a very old building (a wine warehouse from the 1900's) which we have renovated and continually upgrade. It wasn't purpose build and we have really made the best of all of the quirks and character of the place to make Isaacs a cool, laid back, meet new friends kind of hostel. We keep the bedrooms really clean and simple and make sure that all of the common areas are as comfy and relaxing and party friendly as can be. I totally agree with you about the Free Walking Tour of Dublin - it rocks! Thanks, Yvonne :)
