Specifically booked this place as it said they had parking on the hostel world details. They DO NOT offer any parking whatsoever to backpackers and they only offer you to use the 35 dollar a week parking building. We were only staying one night and it costs 35 a night or a week to park and theres no alternatives so ended up paying half our room price again just to park and drag all our suitcases half a km! Room stunk of cigarette smoke and some random guys shorts under our bed so not clean eithr

Lovely staff! Good location, rooms were clean and tidy. Only problem was that the kitchen/ living area was miles away from our room- everything was very spread out. Facilities looked really good although we didn't have time to use them. Kitchen was a mess and very under equipped! People don't wash their pans which angers me ! But I guess this isn't the hotels fault !

Dear Emily, Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I appreciate your honest feedback, and yes our Kitchen is a long walk from the rooms!. Unfortunately the Kitchen is constantly being left untidy by other travellers and we do our best to maintain, but I recognise this is an item we can improve on in moving forward. We will also check our inventory on pots and pans to ensure that enough equipment is available for guests. Safe travels and we look forward to accommodating you should you be passing back through the Gold Coast.

Owner Comment (Show)
Dear Stephan, Fantastic to hear that you made use of our extensive Hotel facilities that are available to all guests while staying in a central Surfers Paradise location. We appreciate your feedback in relation to the Kitchen and we are currently looking at a schedule on replacing items that may have gone walkabout !.

It was quite difficult for me to get through to my room 18. The way to the rooms is not clear at all as one has to go round and round. I got lost all the days I stayed there. Can they put up signs to direct residents please. I was wondering what will happen if there is a fire. The room I stayed in had taps which were difficult to close to such an extent that the other room mates left the water running throughout the night. May they please check on the functionality of the taps in the bathroom.

Yeah it was pretty good, Felt more like a hotel than a hostel. I booked a 4 bed room witch a shared with 3 other travelers. My room had a TV a fridge/freazer lockers shower/toilet and a balcony. It was really good value for money and the location was right inbetween the transit center and the town central.

I stayed there for about a week, only because of the location. It's in the middle of Surfers Paradise so it's close to everything. However, there were many bad things about the hostel. Most of the staff was friendly, except for one woman who was very rude. The kitchen was disgusting - the pots and pans were always dirty and we even saw a cockroach in there once. The stove was too small and there was just dirt everywhere. Overall, the hostel was dirty and the only good thing was the location.

It's like a hotel room but with bunk beds in it. We had a room with 2 bunk beds (so 4 people) in a room with a private bathroom and even had a little balcony! The corridor on the way to the room stank but the hostel/hotel itself is recommendable. They have great facilities too like a tennis court, an arcades room a pool and more!

Nice, clean and centrally located hostel which even has a fridge in the room. Staff is very helpful. However, the kitchen/number of cooking spots could be bigger for the amount of people staying there.

Ok stay, not so clean, rain were poring in from the windows and we couldn't close the balcony so it made a lot of noise at night. And you have to give a deposit to get plates and cups. Really close to everything!

BAD: Cleaners never vacuum rooms, my laptop couldn't connect to the wifi from 3rd floor, kitchen is filthy, didn't get the room I booked and paid. No atmosphere. GOOD: Location is really good, staff in the hotel side are very helpful, balcony and aircon in some rooms. Would recommend especially if travelling by bus, because this hostel is literally next to the transit centre.

The most unfriendly staff I have ever encountered. They have no sense of service and should not call themselves a hotel or worse a backpackers place. They stole our 20$ deposit for being 5mins late for the check out, the girls of the reception were clearly hostile to us, and the reception of the hotel just look down on backpackers. This place is all about taking your money and will only smile to you if your wallet is loaded. My advise, you should revise your staff hiring policy

Was kind of cool that the rooms were like hotel rooms with bunk beds. Nice to have a refrigerator in your room.
