Port Elizabeth was only a night-stop for me (like for so many other Baz Bus travellers), so I can´t tell much about Islandvibe, but the hostel seemed quite alright to me. My bed wasn´t the most confortable thing on Earth, but it was good enough for sleeping for one night.

Well, it was not bad at all, but - the bedclothes looked like we were not 1st using it. - there was mold around in bathroom

Horrible night. 1) The room can't be made dark due to a small window above the door 2) The room was next to the kitchen which was raided by a bunch of drunk, hungry and loud people

Very nice beach house Close to the pipe beach and the nice boardwalk that you can walk all the way to the Boardwalk shopping center.

I stayed here twice, both times as an overnight stop-over with the Baz Bus. It was clean, the staff were lovely, beds comfortable, good internet connection and huge bathroom. TIP: get up a bit earlier than usual to avoid the queue if you fancy a shower.

No lockers. Not enough bathrooms (and one was horribly mouldy). No real atmosphere and not near anything other than the beach. Staff not terribly helpful.

Nice hostel, but nothing special. Clean for the most part and everything was in place except for some occasional wifi-problems. Staff was friendly. A lot of partying going on. Felt secure. Good value for money.
