There is only one room key for 8 girls. The door was left unlocked at night (barely even shut closed because the lock is old) because everyone isn\'t back so someone has to get up to open the door everytime. Rug shop men directly downstairs are sleazy. The shower didn\'t drain \"cleaning\" yourself while standing in dirty water. Staff is very friendly, airport shuttle is great, location is fantastic, rooftop gatherings were fun. I wouldn\'t stay here again. Fun but unsafe. Better safe than sorry.

I stayed for one night at Istanbul Harmony, and I was so surprised, 16 Lira for female dorm is completely a steal! The breakfast is nice, with the terrace view is the top of the Blue Mosque and another side showing you the Bosphorus strait. The only minus is the locker does not have a key, but all other facilities is excellent. It is located few steps from Gulhane tram stops and you can walk for less than 5 mins to Topkapi Pallace and other landmarks at Sultanahmet Square. Recommended!!!

I highly recommend this hostel. Perfect location, helpful and friendly staff, clean accommodations, free breakfast and sometimes free dinner. Wifi only works in certain parts of the hostel and their one computer breaks down frequently. There is no travel desk, but the hostel can refer you to a nearby travel agency. Some staff have no knowledge of the city and couldn't answer my simple questions about navigating the city. Overall great hostel.

The staff was really helpful and the location is great (right in the old city) , BUT a certain number of negatives to bear in mind: -I stayed in the top dorm, which is right under the terrace, which seems to be the party place for people on Thursday, nights (however, the staff is very helpful, if you complain to them, they will go stop the party at once and you'll be able to sleep) -the shower created a small flood each time it was used..

A nice hostel with a great view. The staff was very nice and they fed us supper as well as breakfast when I was there. The rooms were comfortable, but the floors had quite a few bugs running around. There were none in the beds though from what I could see. There were not enough lockers for all the beds. The location is fantastic however, easy to get to in a central location.

Ihsan and Ercan made my experience at this hostel. They took us out for drinks, talked with us, ate with us and though they're very personable, they always remain professional. It's definitely a place where personality makes your stay.

For its price (10 Lira in February, 4,5€/night), it's a must see! Great location a common room on the top to meet people from all over the world, a dorm room of 8 people with 2 showers and 1 bathroom! I just regret there are not enough locker boxes: 6 lockers for 8 people, I had to leave my laptop in my luggage! Juan from France.

We were there 4 days and no problem at all. Good urban situation close to various urban tram stations and to the main touristic points. Big and spacious rooms, toilets and showers are OK, common area with kitchen and some place to rest, working WIFI, really nice staff that helped in every kind of problem that could appear and also created a wellcoming ambient in the place... the place is really nice and everything goes on as it must, really worth spending there some days. I would go back there.

My stay was excellent! For the price I could not have asked for anything more. Great atmosphere and free dinner. If you go make sure you meet Ihsan, one of the hotel workers there, he is really helpful and will assist you with anything you wish to know about Istanbul. i stayed here for about a month because I was studying abroad in Istanbul fro one semester and the only reason I moved was because the place was far from my university, otherwise I would have stayed longer.

This was a great place to stay only minutes walking from all the historic places. The staff is just amazing: Ardan and Ihsan especially. They go out of their way to help you. Free Wi-Fi. The only bad thing was with room temperature. It was kinda cold, but it is most likely because whole Istanbul faced a power outage. And the hostel was struggling to cope with it. One advice about the general area is that things close down by 10-11am. If you like to party all-night, you want taksim square:)

location is excellent you can easily access to all the popular sights within few minutes by foot or tram. however, main entrance and door without any lock does not seem secure enough. even though there had not been a major crime or stealing i think the door with a lock is a basic in any accomodation. kitchen was very dirty.. did not want to cook there. though the receptionist and other people in the hostel were all nice. it was a nice stay overall but i can tell why it was at such a low price

First of all, the room was stinky. No breakfast was served next morning. I do not recommend this hostel except for the location.
