I'm not sure what the average level of cleanliness is for a hostel, because this was the first one that I've visited. But the bathrooms could have used more regular cleaning and the floors vacuuming. If a top sheet is not used, the blankets should be washed more often. But in general it was not too bad. The laundry service was easy to use and prompt and the staff was generally friendly. This hostel was great...I stayed three different times, as I used Istanbul as a base to visit Turkey and Greece. I loved it. We had booked at a d?fferent hotel or?g?nally but changed our reservat?on to the Istanbul hostel based on fr?ends adv?ce.We were not d?ssapo?nted.. very fr?endly staff who were helpful, clean rooms, lots of fun and the free brekfast ?s awesome. We are go?ng away for 2 nghts but are return?ng to stay at ?stanbul hostel for one more n?ght b4 we leave because we enjoyed ?t so much. HIGHLY RECONMENDED! Very nice hostel. Perfectly loctaed next to Aya Sofya and the Blue Mosque. The roof top offers a great view on mosques and on the Bosphor River.

This hostel is in a great location. The staff are helpful and friendly. Would have liked a larger locker in the dorm and more frequent cleaning of the bathroom but overall I would recommend this place.
