i was traveling through turkey alone and found this hostel highly recommended online. i ended up staying here for over a week and was so satisfied with the entire experience. the location was perfect, close to all major sights as well as the tram line. the hostel itself was comfortable, clean and enjoyable. the staff were all incredible and have become good friends throughout my time here. they had great information regarding trips, directions, and all of istanbul. i would recommend this place!!

Highly recommend this place. Young and energetic place, free breakfast is great, and the location is close to everything. It is couple of minutes walk to Blue Mosque or Hagia Sofia. Hostel personnel is the most hard working people I have ever met. They help you any way they can. Especially, the Hostel manager Paco, he did everything he can to help with our stay. Thanks Hostel Istanbul, you made my visit to Istanbul a truly a memorable experience.

An amazing choice if you're staying in Istanbul. It's in a perfect location in Sultanahmet. Only about 2 minutes walk from Aya Sofia, the cisterns, and the blue mosque. The staff is hilarious and nice, especially Paco and Emre. Breakfast is good, the people are great, and upstairs is a great place for people to meet and hang out. I was here in winter, but in summer the roof must be a lot of fun, it has a fantastic view and a bar up there.

Staff is the Best! Any questions about not only IStanbul but also about Turkish culture, restaurants, and especially nightlife Paco, the mannager of the hostel, is your most valuable resource in the city! Walking distance to all major attractions and its a few houses down from Four Seasons Hotel. Make sure check out rooftop. Its just amazing! Thanks Paco!

Perfect location if you only have a couple days in Istanbul and want to see the main attractions - it's a two-minute walk from Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and Haga Sofia. Clean and comfortable facilities and delicious breakfast with a view, but not much in the way of a common area other than the restaurant.

it's a great place for a couple of nights. it was very quite which is great for me but i know that some travellers love the hostel atmosphere for its high energy. i noticed that the 6 bed shared rooms has plenty more space than the 4 bed shared so i would reserve that instead next time. it's in the middle of plenty of attractions which is amazing.

It was a small but very cozy hostel with nice people and incredible staff. Thanks to you Paco for this experience. The roof is very cool as there is a good view.

The stff was very helpful and friendly, and, of course, the location can't be beat.

Vvery well located. It has great staff but I do believe it lacks some security. They definitely need to install lockers because travelers now have laptops, ipad and it's not fun/safe having to carry them around out of fear of them being stolen. I am not saying that the hostel is not safe, but it will bring a good peace of mind. The staff are pretty knowledgeable of Istanbul, and suggests great plans. The view on the rooftop is fantastic. You need to be pushy in order to pay with a credit card
