Great location, good beds, easy to get to and away from. Would definitely stay here again. Paco, the receptionist, was great and very informative.

Only note is that the internet in the two bedroom room (apartment across the street), did not work consistently.

The location is great, walkable to almost everything one wants to see. There isn't really a common area like most other hostels and dealing with the staff felt like some business transactions. I didn't really feel very welcome.

An excellent old-school hostel in the heart of the old city. The friendly owners actually run the joint. Emre, the day manager, is awesome and doles out advice on everything under the sun (incl jogging routes and cool bars). All the backpackers hang out on the terrace and swap stories over kebaps and beer. When you're ready to venture out with your new friends, all the important sites are within walking distance. Affordable, clean, and safe. No brainer if you're heading to Istanbul.

Doors didn't lock and no overall security but apart from that brilliant location and lovely staff super helpful in pointing out directions and recommending places to visit.

No location better than this, not even a five star hotel can beat it. Value for money, nothing fancy but very nice still. If only they had individual lockers, would have felt safer here..

Istanbul Hostel could not be located in a better area. Only a 5 mın walk from the center of Istanbul. Right next to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. The area around the hostel is fılled wıth quality restuarants and specialty shops. But watch out these places can be expensive. If you are on a budget though the friendly staff can direct you to a number of other locations in the city whiıch you can easily walk to or take the metro which ıs also only a 5 min walk from the hostel.

Good value for price. The location was simply perfect (very near from hague sophia and blue mosque). The restaurant and breakfast place was in the top, very cozy place, and there was a terrace too (nice views!). Hostel restaurant (same place) food was nice, price okey. The breakfast was very simple. The staff was nice and the atmosphere was cool too. The only inconvenience for me was that the room was a bit smelly but this kind of thinks sometimes happened at hostels. Overall very happy!

The people at the hostel made my stay very pleasant. The hostel itself is very well placed right next to 3 of the most famous locations in Istanbul.

My one major complaint about the hostel is that the actual dorm rooms only lock if you push the button on the inside doorknob before leaving. Since the room was shared, it was rarely (read as: never) actually locked, because other travelers were either forgetful or indifferent. Considering the room was on the ground floor to a building that has two front doors left ajar, I think the locks on the dorm rooms should always require a key. We loved Paco at the desk and the location was AMAZING.
