We took a private for one night between the flights. Our room was separate from the hostel together with 2 more rooms (privates, I guess). The facility (former appartment?) also had 2 shower rooms and a kitchen. Everything was new and clean. We also had breakfast, which was served on the hostel rooftop - and THAT is a very nice spot. Staff is nice and helpful. And location is marvellous - just 3-5 mins on foot to Aya Sofia.

I really liked it there! Everything I wanted to visit was really close. Prices were standard and I liked their hospitality. Would reccomend it!

It's an "ok" Hostel. Things work fine (reception 24 hours, travel agency inside, good beds and good sheets, not dirty, they even give you umbrellas when it rains), but it misses small important things, like more hangers for the clothes in the bathrooms, more toilets (prefencially separated from the shower place, lockers). The guy in the reception was nice but gave us wrong information about transport and taxis (he said it wasn't a problem to take a taxi in the street but we had a huge problem!)

Location, view from the terrace and stuff are great! I left battery from my camera in the hostel, but hostel stuff managed to send it across all the Turkey to my new location. Thanks a lot!

We had a very good stay in Istanbul Hostel. The staff was really nice, beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the location was perfect : in the very middle of the major touristic places (Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace).

Great hostel. Only thing lacking was a nice common space/bar to hang out at. Everyone I met here was kind and friendly and the staff were very helpful. One warning: no lockers in the 20-person room, so if this is important to you, get the 6-person for a little more.

Staff quite passive, not helping a lot and very short of words. Seems they would have been forced to work there without willingness on their side.

Emre and Paco were very friendly and helpful and treated us like family. The rooftop Terrace had an awesome view and the food was great. Friends we met in the city were welcome to visit us and drink and eat in the terrace also.
