This hostel is located next to all the main sights in Old Town and next to a busy street filled with bars and restaurants. I stayed in a six-person mixed dorm and everything was clean and kept up. There is staff available 24/7, and they are really great guys. It made my stay in Istanbul much better knowing that my things would be safe and I would never be locked out (which happened to my friend at a different hostel). If you choose this hostel, you will definitely have a fun time :)

I have stayed there 4 nights with my gf. First of all the location is fantastic!! Its right in the middle of everything in the historical peninsula. It just cant get better. Staff was also amazing. He helped us for every extra request as if it was an hotel. The rooms were very clean and beds were comfy (we stayed in a private room). It has also an awesome terrace with and incredible view. The breakfast was just fine for an hotel. The bathroom was clean and hot water was available all the times.

You can't beat this place for location, atmosphere and hospitable, welcoming staff (Paco especially). A cosey hostel, central to all the main sites, where you are still able to get a good nights sleep. There is also a fantastic rooftop bar with one of the best views of Istanbul, ideal for a quiet drink and to meet fellow travellers.

This is a really nice hostel with friendly, hospitable staff. It is in a excellent location right beside the Aya Sophia and Blue Mosque. Close to good restaurants and the tram line. They have a decent enough breakfast in the mornings from 8-10 am and they have a restaurant upstairs on a nice terrace. Facilities aren't bad. The showers have a lot of hot water, and the toilets are pretty good. It is unisex. The rooms are clean. Can't complain.

Had a terrible experience at this hostel. I booked in a shared room. The staff hinted that they wanted to kick me out of the hostel - because of my snoring, and age (59)... so older folks over 48, don't take a chance being at the hostel! The funny thing is that others in the room also snored! .Staff are not helpful as you'd expect - unless a commission is involved. The notable character for the staff (Paco and Emre) is when guests leave they act friendly and request a good review!

This hostel is one of the best you'll find for its price. The beds are comfortable and the facilities all work, plus you get a free breakfast in the morning and discount prices on their restaurant menu. It's a very convivial and friendly atmosphere and I would recommend it to someone looking for a good and cheap place. They don't have lockers but I personally had no problem during my 4 night stay and you can leave particular valuables with the staff at the front desk.

Spent 7 fun filled nights here at the Istanbul Hostel. Great location right in the heart of Sultanhamet. Close to all the main attractions. Rooftop restaurant is amazing. Great views and great food with friendly service. All the staff are also really friendly especially Paco. I stayed in the 21 bed dorm which is always clean and was full of fun and interesting people. Of the 4 hostels i have stayed in Istanbul this has been by far the best!

Love this hostel! The bathrooms were always clean, the staff always friendly (especially Paco!) and the restaurant was a nice bonus! Great location, easy walking distance to all the main attraction and close to good nightlife. Definitely recommend!

I missed the flight and I've sent an email to the hostel. Due to not charging me for the "no show" they decided by them selves to change my room for a 20 beds room. They should have contacted me before. There are no lockers in the hostel. Too bad. The bathroom was poor.
