Itaca Hostel is very centrally located near Plaça Catalunya, Passeig de Gràcia and Barcelona Cathderal in one direction and Barri Gòtic, La Rambla, the Aquarium and the beach in the other. Reviewers have said this hostel is 'immaculately clean, spacious, new and relaxing' and that they'd stay again. Guests also tell us that they enjoy the hostel's unique combination of privacy and an atmosphere where it's easy to meet fellow travellers.
Property Information:
Inspired by our travels, we opened Itaca in August 2001 with the idea of bringing together all that we've enjoyed in other places to create a comfortable, friendly and sociable atmosphere where you can discover our culture at your own pace.
Itaca is located in a quiet street opposite the cathedral in the heart of Barcelona's Gothic area, just a few minutes walk from the city's most interesting cultural and architectural sights. Were close to the beach and the best places to go out, from traditional tapas bars to the hippest nightlife.
In Itaca Hostel we have clean, cosy and spacious facilities with dorms and a twin room. Two minutes away we have double or triple rooms with the same facilities as the hostel (breakfast included). We also offer two apartments for four-to-six people.
All our rooms are exteriors with their own balcony. There is a well-equipped kitchen and dining room plus a lounge for our guests use.
Itaca only has space for 30 people so it allows more contact between us and you, and between yourselves, giving you a more personal service, with more alternative guides to the city.
Our rates include lockers, bed linen, self-catering kitchen, free Internet and Wi-Fi.
***Note: Breakfast is NOT included in our apartments, we only provide breakfast for bookings made in a private room and in our dorms.

Being a small hostel, people here get to know each other and enjoy their stay more. If they want extra activities we can work with people who organise events. As we're a small hostel we offer the personal touch, with friendly, helpful staff. We care about our guests and try to make sure they enjoy their stay here. I'd say we're ideally suited for anyone who wants a relaxing stay in a small, independent hostel. We're not a party hostel and generally don't book large groups.

The nearest main attractions to us are the cathedral (100m away) and La Rambla, which is only five minutes away. I recommend people explore the Gothic Quarter and visit the Palau de la Música, just two minutes' walk away from here.Hostelworld Guests Say

Excelent place, located at 1 min from the Barcelona Cathedral, in the middle of the Barri Gòtic. Staff is great. It is also quiet at night, if you want to avoid all those party hostel where you won't sleep a minute, this is you place. I recomend this place a lot, enjoy Barcelona.

This property has a 1 day cancellation policy.Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.
Things to Note
Cancellations must be made by email by 11am the day before arrival. Late cancellations and no-shows shall be charged.
APARTMENTS:
ONLY AVAILABLE FOR A MINIMUM OF 3 NIGHTS
Check in after 8pm costs an extra 20 euros and after 23pm costs an extra 30 euros… WE DON’T DO CHECK INS AFTER 24H, if you think you’ll be coming later than 24h please let us know and we will cancel your reservation and refund any deposit you might have already paid !!
