Good - location of the hostel was the only good thing about it, because it was near a metro n just 10 mins walk from the Colosseum. Bad - very noisy. But perfect if you are just out to party all night. In my room, the other ppl were talking and laughing till 2/3am an they would play by dropping the ladders on the floor, etc. So not the best choice of hostel if you want to get a good night's rest to wake up early the next day. Some of the staff were really nice, but the rest weren't helpful.

I had a hard time hearing back from the hostel when I contacted them via email ahead of time to cancel one of the nights I had reserved, and they gave me a very hard time about it and were reluctant to give me the money back for that particular night. They also screwed up my travel companion's bed situation and had to give her another bed after she had already been sleeping in one for a couple of nights. They allowed visitors to be extremely loud in the common areas after 1am...

Only thing that´s good about it is where it`s located. The italian manager is very unfriendly and shouts at the guests to speak italian, not english. At 11am everybody has to leave the hostel until 4pm. They can`t tell me they were cleaning 5 hours every day.

The location is awesome and the stuff are awesome too. They are so willing to help and good pasta. I like the staff there and no worry for losing key because they will open the door for you. Wifi all around and quite stable and you can use computer also. I make some friends there and the metro station just next by is a plus. And the area is quite nice.

A great place for who goes to Rome and wants to know the city by day and have fun at night. One of the funniest hostels l've already been, very well localozed. The staff was kind and offered us dinner or cocktail every night. The place is small and it is easy to meet new people, ideal for those traveling alone. Kitchen facilities and breackfast were great, we didn't miss anything. The price is very fair.

The location was great and it was extremely easy to get to all of the sites and everything a tourist would want to see. The hostel itself was not clean, especially the bathrooms. The rooms smelled bad. I suggest they invest in duvet covers and sheets because the comforters had stains and were prickly because of the feathers. It was nice that the breakfast was cheap and the staff was helpful and friendly. The doors to the rooms did not lock and the safes were extremely small.

i am all about staying in cheap places, but my safety comes first. as a woman who was traveling alone, i absolutely did not feel safe in this hostel. therefore, i chose to leave. during check in when i asked the man for my room key he literally said, "oh there are no keys because the doors do not lock" and then he proceeded to barge into an all female room without knocking. if he just barged in like that during the day, i do not like to think what may happen at night. i would not stay here alone

Hostel was perfect except the average cleanliness and security. The breakfast was awesome and the spagetti made by staff for free for us was perfect also. Staff was cheerful and friendly.

There were no lockers, no room keys and no entrance code into the hostel. The bathrooms were smelly and floors always wet. Found bugs on the mattresses.

I had an excellent stay at this hostel. It was clean, the staff was friendly, and its location is amazing. I didn't mind the loud music because it helps create a fun atmosphere, and they turn it off at midnight so it didn't keep me up. Also the breakfast is very good, for sure worth 2 euro. I would stay here again!

I´ve been already in others 2 hostels in Roma and Ivanhoe is the best one. Good value money, staff friendly. Always trying to promoto partys. I recommend, if you come alone or without a girlfriend, this is the right place

Only two bathrooms for the whole hostel. They kick you out from like 11-2 or noon to 4 or something like that so they can clean. Most hostels will let you lie in your bed or sit at a computer if you want, but they literally make you leave the hostel for four hours. Staff seemed bored, and boring. Rooms were cramped. They nickled and dimed you too, everything cost money; internet, towels, linens, lockers. I would not go to this hostel, there are better, cheaper places in Rome.

The bed is scary. it has no stairs and the wood to retain the bed is too tiny. the room is very cold, close to the window and no heather. the room has no key. but the breakfast is cheap it's 2 eur. It's ok for people that likes party.

It is a small hostel, but that is why the pasta evenings were so nice. Everyone in the hostel is coming together and you can meet a lot of other travelers. The negative points were that the rooms are a bit small, there is not enough place to put the suitcases and bags of everyone and it is noisy in the hostel because it is that small. But I knew that last thing already, so I did not mind. But overall it was a super hostel with great staff.
