Ivanhoe Hostel Reviews

The location and staffs are perfect. But the bedroom is really dirty and facilities are poor. There are no clean sheets for you, so if you don't have a sleeping bag, it will be terrible.(I looked at the colour of the matress and I planned to leave as soon as possible) Only 4 lockers in a room for 12 people (incredible!) Bathrooms are also quite insufficient. But it's OK for this low price.

Everything great, but should exist a Locked baggage room. Ok, we can leave the baggage on kitchen during the day, but it's not so safe.

I arrived there on 12 of december, there was NO HOT WATER and the rooms, linen and bathroom were very dirty. Impossible to stay there, so we talked to the owner to ger the money back!! Dont recommend for anyone!!!

Well, i'm staying in this hostel for thirty minuts. In December the Hostel don't have hot water for the showers. Incredible. me and my boyfriend does not like the way the hostel and when its owner decided not to be held. I had to argue that my money was returned. Situation very boring and my vision in bad faith. We do not recommend.

NOT TRUE THAT THEY HAD NO HOT WATER. IT WAS ONLY ONCE BECASUE OF CHANGING THE MAIN BOILER. I'VE STAIED IN THERE FOR 4 NIGHTS AND HAD ALWAYS SUPER HOT WATER. AND BESIDE THIS THE HOSTEL HAS ALOT OF POSETIVE SIDES, THE THE ONLY ONE NEGATIVE SIDE (HOT WATER) WAS NOT COUNTABLE. I HAD A LOT OF FUN AND WILL BE BACK WHEN I COME TO ROME. HELPFUL STAFF AND FREE FOOD AND DISCO PARTIES ARE THE BEST IN THERE. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEWHERE TO HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME IN ROME THEN IVANHOE IS THE BEST!!

Would not have a bad word to stay about Ivanhoe apart from the BED BUGS!!! Me and my friends are covered in them. Staff are great, hostel isn't too bad considering what your paying for but coming home covered in bites is not good. Also didn't have our rooms for us the first night so had to walk to another hostel, wouldn't of been too bad if our friend wasn't ill and thought they should of paid for a taxi or provided a lift for us seeing it was no fault of our own.

The water in a bathroom was cold everyday!!!

Not hot water (it seems not to be only one day), toilets not really clean, no luggage room for check-out (only possible to leave all the luggage in the kitchen, and staff don´t take care about it) and rooms always opened, not keys, but staff is kind. Beds quite comfortable EXCELLENT location, and good breakfast for 2e, but they should invest a bit of money in order to update it and would be a recommendable hostel. If don´t i think i won´t go back

The hostel has black out hours between 11-4 pm so you basically have to be out during those times. This was annoying because they didn't have it posted on their website and they don't tell you this until your arrival. You leave your bags in the kitchen, thats their version of a safe location. The other annoying thing was that they were playing music really loud on the first night we got there. I mean they give you free alcoholic drinks it was just weird walking into a club scene, but it is cheap

WONDERFUL hostel! Not only is it safe and clean, but they try to make everyone feel at home. They often make spaghetti dinner for everyone and it feels like a big family dinner. The staff are absolutely lovely, helpful, and fun. Cannot say enough about this hostel. I miss them already!

I LOVED IT IN IVANHOE HOSTEL. FREE SPAGHETTI AND FREE COCKTAIL PARTY WAS THE BEST!! ALI IS THE BEST EVER!!!
