Great staff. Liz and Ian are fantastic hosts. Extremely comfortable beds and convenient kitchen with lots of dishes. Easy to meet other travelers and get trip advice.

Bit weird. I wouldn't recommend. It was really far from the town and I didn't really feel safe walking around by myself. The guy that ran the hostel kept his dog tied up on a leash all day and then locked her in the garage at night so she cried all day and all night. He also fed her cat food. Also, I booked on hostelworld.com so paid the deposit but he guilted me into paying the full price up front by saying he gave me cheap wireless - even though he didn't.

Ian is a nice guy and has some kiwi humour =) I love the family style accomodation as I got to meet some great ppl easily~

We really enjoyed our stay as the hostel has a friendly, family feel and the owners were so helpful. It was very nice to finally sleep in a comfortable, clean bed, though the bedroom walls are very thin and you can hear everything. I do feel a bit sorry for the dogs being tied up all the time as there's a huge garden at the back and the cat gets to roam around freely, and I'm allergic to cats.
