Was very pleasant and fun! Takoyaki night felt like a a night with friends rather than strangers!

We didnt make use of the facilities much as Hiroshima was just a stop-over. Staff was friendly. Location was about 3 tram stops away from the museum but is about 20 mins from the Hiroshima station.

The walls in the hostel are VERY thin! You can hear everything that happens in the rooms next to you, on the stairs, and down the corridor. NOT recommended if you are a light sleeper. Location is good, but you won't get any sleep.

J-Hoppers was the best hostel we stayed in on our trip! It is located with easy access to the Hiroshima Peace Park etc. and is right by a tram stop for further travel. The staff were great. The hostel was equipped with everything you could need and was very clean. I had a great sleep in the Japanese-style dorm. The only problem during our stay was that since we arrived after the reception closed, we had no access to towel rental - towels should be free!

Loved the small but really cosy female dorm room with the Tatami floor and Futon. Very good access to Miyajima and to the Peace Memorial Park is just a short walk away!

I didn t like so much this hostel. I think was too expansive for what was: small the living room and just too pc, room very small, not really clean.

Really friendly helpful staff, handy location right beside the peace park and a tram stop, our room was lovely ryokan style and really big. Minor shortcomings were that everything was a bit worn, like other reviews have said, and there was a shortage of showers in the morning. Overall I'd stay here again especially given that the double rooms were a lot cheaper than the other major Hiroshima hostel.

Great cozy place. Would stay there again if I were to be in the area. I stayed with 5 other friends and we enjoyed out time there.

I had a great time here. The staff is amazingly great and helpful, and they have native english speakers. If I go back to Hiroshima I will stay at the same place.

Location, location, location. Very close to the A-bomb park. Great kitchen and friendly staff. No complaints--a good backpackers hostel.

Compare to the other backpacker chain we stayed at, this one is less satisfying in several ways. The dorm was packed and have little space for personal belongings. It also wasn't that clean and warm compared to the other backpacker chain. Location is great though. It was okay overall but we would have to think about going back to this backpacker. For about the same cost, we could probably get better place.

I only stayed for 1 night and left wishing I could stay longer (I was off to Tokyo the next day). The staff were great and the hostel is only a short walk from the Peace Park. The hostel organised an evening learning to cook Okonomiyaki Hiroshima style - a great way to pass an evening. Thanks J-Hoppers!

This was an excellent place to stay. Very handy for all the main sights, and the staff were very helpful. We arrived at the time when the reception is closed, but they helped us put our luggage into the storeroom, and pointed us in the direction of the museum, where we wanted to spend the afternoon. We also had a chance to make okonomiyaki, the local dish, on one of the evenings. Recommended!

Rooms and common area are a bit on the small side but the location isn't terrible: 5 minutes from the peace park, 10-15 minutes from downtown shopping/dining area.

The kitchen was pretty good, of not impressive, but the showers were a sore point. The kind where you need to pull a lever every minute to get water. Moreover, when two people use showers the water pressure drops considerably.
