My friend and I were staying for one night in the 17-beds room. No one besides us staying in the room. I guess it wasn't peak season. So we had the entire room for us. Location was OK, not so far to reach the hostel by walking from train station. The guy who attended us was friendly. The room was clean. The bathroom was extremely clean. I noticed the toilet paper and tissue quality are very good. It was thicker than the normal tissue paper.

Trying to get into the hostel was such a hassle! The reception was only open from 2pm and we arrived in chur at 12 so we had to hang around for 2 hours with our luggage. Then when we came back at 2 we had to phone a number to get let in! If you don't have a mobile phone you can't get it. The bathrooms weren't working, the toilets weren't flushing. It was cold and the beds were very uncomfortable. The hostel cost over 40 franks per night per person. I reckon you could find a cheap hotel instead.

We only stayed one night. The directions were a little confusing coming out of the train station. Beds were comfortable. Facilities were very very clean. The front desk guy (Marco/Marcus?) was extremely friendly. He stayed late to help me find a train for the next day because our original reservation on the Bernina Express was cancelled due to avalanches. I didn\'t go to the bar, but my fiance did. He said the bartender was extremely chill. Oh, the hostel is in the middle of red light dist.
