After you get over the shockingly small space that constitutes your sleeping area this hostel is actually alright. The owner and her staff are quite friendly and helpful. The location is convenient to Shinjuku - thanks to the express trains plying the JR lines. Don't bring a large suitcase - or you might not be able to fit it in the dorm room! I'd recommend staying more than a few nights to absorb the atmosphere...

Heads Up: you get what you pay for. Converted House, small rooms but staff & atmosphere make up for it. Showers (two, one upstairs and one downstairs) are scrubbed daily by staff. Toilets high tech, the one downstairs has a heated seat (great for winter time!). AC/heater, Wifi. Hot tea downstairs. Kitchen w/ fridge (label your food w/ name & check-out date), lots of wares. Quiet area, local onsen nearby! (no tattoos) Can get noisy with hostel visitors that don't respect others & neighborhood.

Perfect for Backpackers. Great Value for money, with an owner and staff that go above and beyond to be accommodating. I've made some life time memories and great friends here! I will not even look for other places to stay if I come back to Tokyo! :)

for 1 or 2 nights its ok, but I wouldnt recommend if you stay longer, its so tiny, no space at all! Kitchen facilities are very very basic, no proper heating system, so in winter its bitterly cold inside the house which makes it very uncosy! Far away from Tokyo St. Strange reception hours. Only 1 shower, 1 sink, 1 toilet per floor. But there is a supermarket very near by. And we still met some good people:-) Thanks!

The owners are great! The place is really small, but good value for your money. If you're looking for a cheap place just to do some internet, shower and sleep, go for it!

Excellent Hostel! Meiko does everything she can to make you feel welcome in a lovely part of Tokyo. The Hostel is small but this adds to the character! the bathrooms are clean and the showers were lovely! It's not far from Nish-Kawaguchi station and there are lots of interesting bars and reasturants nearby. I will definitely come back to this hostel, the only bad thing was that we stayed for only 2 days, we could've stayed there a month! Thanks Meiko! (Jack-san and Duncan-san)

You definitely get what you pay for here. We booked a private twin room which was literally a bunk bed with a door. The hostel can only be described as a giant blanket fort; highly flammable, congested, and with no noise reduction. Bathrooms were gnarly, situated more or less in the kitchens, bed were cramp (I couldn't sit up in mine) and it was pretty damn far from Tokyo, located in a rough suburb equivalent to the Bronx. Wifi worked and the owner was a treat but I wouldn't recommend.

The room was dirty and fulled of dusk. I was told to pay additional charge of cleaning fee which was 180Yen per night when i checked in. There was two beds for me to choose, one was on the uppest, which the space was very small, i couldnt even sit in the space but just laid down. Another bed was just on the floor, which has no specified compartment. The dusk and dirtiness was terrible. I could just stayed on my bed for 10 mins and i left the hostel immediately without asking for any refund.
