Amazing place to stay during the monsoon season as there are always people around - which can't be said for some of the other hostels in the area. They are close to great restaurants and fairly close to the main beach and nightlife. Ask them to hook you up with a scooter rental - it is super cheap and makes getting around the different beaches so much easier.

Staff are very help and informative of the local area. Breakfast is very basic but make up for it with the morning soma's 😁. It's an idea place to round up a holiday to chill and relax with an intimate group setting

The Jungle is an amazing hostel. Located on the strip that leads you right down to Vagator beach, the hostel has a nice common area, and plenty of space to park your scooters/cars (very necessary in Goa.) The staff is amazing, and everything from booking cabs to renting scooters works like a breeze. Try staying in the main building, though, 'cause that's where all the vibe is. Will definitely be back. :)

Thank you for your review. All our private rooms are located in the second building which gives them a bit more quiet (and privacy). The mixed dorms are in the main building with the 'vibe' :)

We ended up staying 2 nights at the hostel - cosy atmosphere in the common room and kitchen areas, easy to meet people, very clean, close to the beach and bar just up the road. Little further out from the main drag, however staff are very helpful and relatively easy to organise transport. Would stay here again!

Definitely one of the best hostels in which I've been. The best relation of price and quality! Amazing atmosphere.

Good hostel, good location, some people staying there even off season. Not very secure though. No locks on the upstairs dorm room. Would recommend though.

Owner Comment (Hide)
Hi there - thank you for your review. We do not have locks on any dorm doors because all guests are provided with individual lockers and people end up getting either locked in or locked out which is painful. We have a security guard and CCTV cameras at all entrances.

Jungle is awesome. Such a great atmosphere. It was incredibly clean and comfortable to stay in. The staff was very nice, and the breakfast was great. Vagator is a taxi ride from all of the clubs/bars in Ajuna, so be aware. Otherwise, it is an excellent place to stay.

I had a great time staying at this hostel. Within 5 minutes of walking through the door I was on the back of a scooter heading to a beach with a group of people I just met. I was a solo women traveler and felt completely safe. They had a great breakfast too wasn't Indian food which is nice for a change, and they provide cheap beer for everyone while you are all hanging out in the common area. It was a great time and I would definitely go back.

Best Hostel we stayed in! Great atmosphere, very clean and friendly. The breakfast really is amazing. You can rent schooters and visit loads of beaches around. Vagator beaches and the ford are only a short walk away from the Hostel. Very social place, would always come back.

Good place to meet people, albeit certainly a party hostel. Good location close to the beach and the free breakfast is very nice. However, I'm conflicted in saying this because the two women were lovely people, but the service from reception staff was poor. Our booking was taken wrongly and we had to move room for our last two nights. We were in the hostel 5 days before a staff member offered us their map of Goa. The deluxe private costs more but the ac works far better in the standard privates.

Steps from Vagator Beach and next door to a restaurant and a convenience store that can literally fulfill all of one's needs on a daily basis. We stayed in an AC dorm which was clean and good value for money considering we got full control over the AC - really nice after a hot day of wandering about. Nice, chill spaces for hanging out in the main hostel area, and the breakfast samosas were great!

Has to be closely running with my favourite hostel in India. Such a great atmosphere and was hard to leave. Would recommend it in a heart beat!
