The hostel was clean and relatively easy to find. The hostel owner, Vanessa, is a very friendly and generous lady who not only helped us with our luggages, but also checked in on us frequently to ensure we had a good stay. We spent 5 nights in the other building which was about a short 10 - 15 minute walk away from the nearest MRT station, and the nearby night market scene was so lively and enjoyable, we loved it very much! The only complaint perhaps is that the room we had lacked ventilation.

Excellent location! Very close to night market and Taipei 101. Cute environment, very nice staff. Convenient to take a shower. However, the air conditioner is a little bit weak.

The staff at this Hostel are very friendly and helpful. This hostel is great if you are young, and traveling alone, and want to make friends, interact, and get kinda grimy. If you are traveling with buddies, this would be okay too. You gotta share showers, and bathrooms, and the beds are that comfortable. But you get what you pay for.

Excellent Hostel! The staff were really helpful and friendly. It has comfy rooms and good sized communal area. The location is also good, a street market is right outside. So much great food. I would recommend staying here.

A great place to stay. Good location, very convenient, staff is very nice and very helpful. Clean, and with several toilets, showers and sinks, you'll never have to wait for them. Place is great and the TV/book area is about as good as it gets. All as described: WIFI, free computers, working aircon and nice atmosphere. Highly recommended. guys, you're great! hope to see you again next year. wo ai ni pi te ro.

A bit of a walk from the station, but very friendly and knowledgeable staff! Right next to a night market, very close to several convenience stores, very comfortable beds.

It's a good place. It was really nice to communicate with the staff. They helped me to receive all my problems. The location is also good. The hostel is located near the Taipei-101. Thank you very much for your hospitality! Olga, Russia

JVs is a place I come back to every time I come to Taipei. It's a great place in a very central area of Taipei. If you want to stay right beside a bustling night market, this is the place to stay.

We used the Deluxe Twin room with Ensuite facilities for 5 night. The room is located in another building round the corner from the property with the dorm facilities. Hence, we had not experienced much in terms of atmosphere. The location is good in terms of proximity to a night market and a 10-min walk to the nearest MRT, but the nearest Airport Bus stop is beyond walking distance, especially when you are heaving a heavy backpack.

I stayed at JV's Hostels for 2 days and 2 nights. It is a great location - literally 1 minute away from a night market! It is also not too far from the train station -- maybe a 10 minute walk. The staff was kind and accomodating. I actually got the most help though (with regards to details about trains and bookings) from other people staying at the hostel. My only slight issue was staying in the twin room, which didn't have any windows. It made the room a bit stuffy and damp.

Really nice hostel, we stayed there for a week and were really happy with everything. There is a market in the area with lots of food and other stuff. It is about 15 minutes from the metro, not easy to find but once you there it is easy to get around. There are lots of important things around such as supermarkets, post office etc. It is also about 10 minutes walk from the Taipei 101 tower. Would recommend.

The owner was really nice, she spoke great English and she was helpful. The place is not hard to find if you follow the instructions. The private room was comfortable, albeit a little loud at times (I kept windows open). The trade off is that you are around the corner from a bustling night market and a short walk from popular sites and subway stations. I had privacy, ate good food in the neighborhood, and took tons of pictures. I would definitely recommend this place for any budget traveler.
