A barstool or something in the showers might be a nice addition so that we can get our clothes on away from the wet floor? There wasn't really any privacy outside, and the floor was always still wet. Apart from that, no other negative comments. I had a wonderful time, and the staff were marvellous.

Staying at JV's Hostel was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend it! All of the staff was extremely helpful, and they really went out of their way to make the guests' experiences special. Their is a social area upstairs, including a computer with free internet access and a big-screen tv. This room tends to be a social gathering area, which is great if you are looking to meet other fellow travelers. The room and beds were very clean as well, and there was always toast available

Great location and super friendly staff. Bathrooms and common area were generally filthy, though. Not a huge concern as it prompted me to stay out longer and enjoy Taipei.

The people were awesome. The sheets and bedding were cleaned everyday for each new guest. There is unlimited drinking and hot water and a fridge. People hang out in the common room so meeting people is easy. It is located right at an awesome market and Taipei 101 is close. Also free wifi which is nice!

I really impress about staying in this hostel. Vanessa and her staff are very friendly and kind. Room and bathroom are clean. Although is quite far from MRT but it's really close to the night market. I also enjoy walking through the market in the morning.

I enjoyed my stay there, though the only pain is that it's 4 flights of stairs to get up/down the place.

The location is very good, and it is just 1 minute's walk to the Tonghua St. night market. The staff is very friendly. We booked one three-bed deluxe room and one two-bed private room. The air atmospehre is not very good in the two-bed private room, and it is a bit smelly. the three-bed deluxe room is good. However , the hot water is not enough for both showering if you wash your body and your hair, esp girls, and there is just one key for the door, which is a bit incovenience

Please clean up. The toilets and bathrooms need to be bigger and clean. Please install a lift. Please fix bed lamps so that sleeping people won't be disturbed by the bright room light.

I believe what is appealing about JV Hostel is the social interaction that it is able to promote. The 'boss', Vanessa is very friendly and loves to mingle with all the guests, allowing us to bond. Her helpers are usually University students who is doing part-time in her hostels. we can easily relate to them as they are youngsters like us too!

The location, and friendliness/helpfulness of the staff are what would keep me coming back. The facilities themselves could use a little sprucing up to stay competitive with some of the other hostels I've stayed at in Taipei.
