Vanessa was amazing! I arrived at the hostel around 10pm and she came to greet me with fruits! The staff is very friendly. The location is great! Close to Taipei 101 and MRT! I loved it! I didn\'t bring my computer, but they had one available for me to use. It was an excellent stay!

to be honest, I chose VJ's for its location which is close to TICC where I attended a conference, there was no specific reason. after staying in so many hostels and hotels in so many countries in the world, VJ's is not bad, in my scale I will give 7/10 mainly for its location, even though it is quite far from nearest MTR Liuzhangli.

A home-feeling atmosphere. Enjoy meeting nice people in the common room. Bathroom and room are clean, staff are really helpful and friendly. Nothing else I should expect more.

The staff are friendly, but useless in telling you what is worth seing in Taipei. If you don't know what to see here, you're out of luck in recommendations. The toilets are clean, but the showers look like they haven't been cleaned in months. It's about 50m from a night market which is good. There also appeared to be a guy practically living at the hostel in my room, who left the door open all the time and turned the air con whenever he felt like without checking with others.

really friendly and helpful staff: they give you all the tips you need (instruction to reach the hostel from the airport particularly well done). they can also speak many languages. the atmosphere is very nice: they have a big common room where you can meet other backpackers.the hostel is safe and clean. the location is not so good (close to Taipei 101 but quite far away from the rest) and the internet access is reeeally slow but it is definitely worth it to stay there. I would recommand it !!!

I would recommend this hostel to anyone wishing to come to Taipei. I stayed in an ensuite single room which is of a good size with king-size (double) bed and has most facilities provided in the room (TV, Internet, washing-machine, air-conditioner, shower etc.). Location excellent and near shops and night-market. It may be a bit tricky to find first of all as it is in an alley. Metro about 15-20 mins walk away. I felt safe at night there.

The hostel was above a tattoo parlor, which it had failed to mention and was located down a sketch alley pretty far from the MTR station, but it turned out to be okay. It had a really great neighborhood night market just steps from the hostel and I felt pretty safe. The room was nice but the bathrooms were not very clean and the exterior and common areas of the hostel were not very impressive or well-kept. It was cheap but there are definitely cleaner hostels for around the same price.

Vanessa and her folks are very helpful and friendly. At first, we spent around 20 - 30 mins to reach the hostel but end up I managed to get the way to reach hostel within 10 mins. I have a suggestion is could the TV be install at basic single private with shared bathroom. Understood that there is the TV at the 4th floor meanwhile some of the guest would like have thier own privacy. I more prefer to watch my favorite program at room. This hostel is very near to the Tonghua night market.

A clean, comfortable place to stay. Staff are really nice and helpful. A little difficult to find in the first time, so don't forget to bring the maps with you. The food in the night market is fantastic. Also, Taiwan is a lovely country.

Really nice place to stay in a short time. Located in a very convenient area, could be a little difficult to find in the begining, but the map the hostel gave is really good. The hostel atmosphere is very good too.
