It takes around 10 mins from MRT station by walk but it's worth to stay in this hostel because it is well located and clean. I stayed in private room ensuite and I had good night. Tourist night market is 1 min away from this hostel.

It was ok. I don't stay in hostels that much, so i cannot really provide a fair comparison. But overall, it was ok. I just wished the beds were larger, though. A bit cumbersome sleeping when your feet are hanging out the bed.

Loved the pace. Great atmosphere and lovely, friendly staff makes this place very unique. The only minus is that I wish i could stay longer! :)

Located near Taipei Metro Station and a fair 15 min walk to Taipei 101, JV's is practically situated at the heart of Taipei. While most people know that this hotel is near Lin Jiang Night Market, not all might know that there is also a morning market catering to people who live around the area. Offering freshly picked fruits, vegetables and a whole lot of goodies; one can be assured of an unlimited supply of very tasty yet affordable food during your stay. Awesome...

Visited just one night, but would definitely come back for longer next time. The hostel is spacious and very comfortable, very relaxed atmosphere, movies on demand on a big screen with very friendly and outgoing host are just one of these things you are looking for after busy day out. One of the friendliest hostel ever been to, definitely would come back!

Staying at JV's is always a pleasure. It's located directly in the heart of one of Taipei's tastiest night markets, and is a short walk from the vast majority of the city's tourist attractions. This ideal location is what first attracted me, but the efficiency and kindness of the English-fluent staff as well as the fun and welcoming atmosphere are what keep me coming back. Not only does JV's provide the best environment for exploring Taipei, but also for making friends from around the world.

Best thing about this place is definitely it's great location. You can basically walk from here to anywhere in central Taipei with 20-30 mins (Taipei 101, Zhongxiao Fuxing, Da'an Park etc. etc.) Stayed in the atrium with private ensuite bathroom, however this means that you're staying very close to the neighboring night market that basically runs 24/7 and which could interrupt your sleeping if you're the sensitive one. Lot's of nice cafes nearby to have breakfast,
