JYT's Home Hostel Taipei Reviews

This seems more an apartment then hostel to me. The owner was here once during our 3 days stay (It's ok for us since we are quite familiar with the city). Everything are alright, except our 3 bed dorm was actually a glass door room, which has no lock, slightly insecure, but the apartment itself is quite secure. There are 3 shower rooms, and two of them are tiny. Overall, it was a good place to stay.

The shower rooms are too small. There is no place for us to hang our cloth and towel. Occasionally, there is no hot water supply when we are taking our bath. Other than that, it is a value for money hostel.

perfect location, warm and friendly atmosphere, resourceful. Nice and neat in general better than expected.

When I was looking for hostels, JYT's hostel stood out for its great location and relatively cheap price. The location is great for backpackers. It's situated in the core area of Taipei City. There's a subway station, main express terminal and bus stops around the hostel. The room is not luxury, but it's clean and comfortable. The hostel managers are nice and take good care of the environment and facilities. Overall I am satisfied with this hostel and would like to visit again.

I was there on 31Dec. so I had to stay in a 6-mixed room instead of 3-mixed as I reserved from the web, it does not matter. Trinity and her friend were very friendly. Good location near MRT.

Fantastic location as it is conveniently next to the busy city hall station and the 101 tower can be seen. The staff were friendly. However, we found food wrappers in the cracks between our beds and the showers were quite grotty (there was even a piece of carrot in there!). The apartment security guard was drunk off his face when we were there for check-in and was rude and intimidating. We saw a bottle of 42below vodka on his desk the next morning as we left.

It is a toastmaster taipei office. theoretically only 1 toilet available, although there are another cubical for WC and 2 shower cubical but is very small max 1.2cm x 120cm max. the shower cubical dont even allow you to hang your cloth and even take out/wear your cloth. the space is every tight. the host are vry nice ladies but still is not idea in term of the cleanliness as well as the toilet which upset your stay. Location is perfect. Idea for money in term of location and transportation.

a bit too crowded in New Year's Eve. Cleanliness is not so good. Staffs are nice but not easy to get contact with.

I had the room to myself for 4 days which was great first of all. I sprained my foot outside and one of the staff gave me ice and it's just about healed. It was very relaxing here.
