Lovely place in the shadow of Kilimanjaro. Staff Martin and Helen very friendly. Lovely garden and terrace area for relaxing. Rooms clean, hot showers on request and air con keeps the mozzies away all at a decent price. Martin provided us with a trustworthy and reasonable local guide, Praise, who organised our safari and trip to Marangu (he also does Kili climbs). I would highly recommend the Jacaranda as a base for climbing the mountain and safaris.

A very beautiful, clean, quiet and safe place 10-15 minutes walk from the centrum. The owner Makang'a was extremely friendly and helpful. She helped us in arranging a hike to Kilimanjaro national park and she even gave us washing powder and brush for muddy clothes after hiking day. She also helped me treat my bee sting. Breakfast was good (though not complete full English as adverised). The only thing we disliked was that dinner was highly overpriced compared to quality.

We had a beautiful stay in Jacaranda! The place is very quiet, the garden of the house is wonderful: ask to have breakfast there if possibile. The room was clean, comfortable and very silent. We also had dinner there, and we recommend you to ask Naseem to cook her nice eggplant dish... actually mouth-watering! Naseem, the owner of the B&B, is such a nice women, very pleasant to talk to. She arranged all the taxi transfers for us (even in Dar Es Salaam!), she really takes care of her guests.
