A great place and would recomend it but the bathrooms arent dirty but the floors in the bathroom and bedrooms could do with a mop and hoovering but its only a place to sleep so its not that big a deal.

Stayed in a twin private room. It was good value for money, bathroom was good, very clean. The tv did not work. Breakfast is minimal, cereal, toast, but would be fine if it could cope with the numbers. I couldn't get a seat at a table and had to queue for toast for about ten minutes.

The staff was really nice, the place was organized and clean. Some may complain about the noise made by the trains behind the building, but I think it was not so loud. I could sleep well.

The extra fee for storing your luggage was a drag but it was only 2 euros a day so it wasnt bad. The staff was very helpful and it had a cool atmostphere! Plus free breakfast was a great perk!

Overall Jacobs Inn served its purpose, a safe place to keep our stuff during the day and sleep at night. The tour and pub crawl were awesome and having a full kitchen was great too. The staff was friendly enough and helpful when we had questions. The two blemishes were the en suite bathroom cleanliness and the wifi. The bathroom in our room had a bit of a clogged shower drain and the sinks were a little gross. The wifi was TERRIBLE. Other than those 2 things the price was right! Thanks!

Please add some more plugs in the wall where to charge phones and other electronic devices as they are not sufficient.

I stayed in the 6 bed mixed dorm for 4 nights. The Good Pretty clean room and bathroom. very spacious bathroom compared to other hostels in Dublin. Staff are friendly and helpful Cheap excellent locker facilities. The Bad Internet service is horrible even in the suggested best wifi-zone. No chance of getting internet in the bedroom. Bedroom was quite cold and ill-furnished.

Good hostel for the basics, not much character but that is fine. Security felt low as so many people coming through but to be expectedfor a large hostel. However I had poor advice given to me by staff about getting to the ferry dock which caused me to almost miss my ferry. The docks are at least a half hour walk from the Point tram station, not ten as I was told and it is not signposted.

The best thing was the staff. The room was clean, and big but the guys at the next room were shouting and making noise during more than an hour in the night and we couldn't sleep., so we didn't enjoy our stay there.

Advantages: Good area, kitchen you can prepare your food. Cleaning acceptable. Breakfast included. Disadvantages: Only one bathroom in the room for 10. The wifi is bad. TV in the break room and small. he wifi was better would be a hostel among which may be taken into account. Breakfast is included in the room. The breakfast is simple (continental) and consists of bread, coffee, juice, jam and butter, and something else I can not remember.

The dorms had a curtain that wouldn't shut and they never said anything about a train passing by the windows, so don't book here if you are a light sleeper.

We expected much more from this hostel considering the reviews. They don't even have lockers in the rooms, you have to rent them in a separate one (which by the way smelled pretty bad) and come and go all the time (quite a bother). The wi-fi didn't work 90% of the time. You were lucky if you found a plug in a 12 bed room, and I wouldn't call ensuite bathrooms clean... Weekend breakfast was awfully crowded (and it's not that good). The best part: the beds, comfy and clean. But won't come back.
