Location was excellent, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Limited cooking facilities - easier or just better to eat out rather than to try and cook for self. Both rooms I stayed in had en suites, but nothing special, and suffered from the building being old with limited access to ventilation.

The place is far from been nice, toilets are dirty, the rooms are cold and beds are not confortable..but thats what you can expect for the cheap price. You need to pay for towels. The personal is very nice and very helpful though. The location is very good.

Its a great location. The stuff is very helpful and friendly. The room are quite old fashion, basic and clean. The bed linen and the funiture should be renewed that would make the room friendlier.

Hosts were extremely friendly. I stayed in two different rooms. The first was not good - the beds were too close to one another. It was like sleeping in the same bed with the strange next to me. The second night I opted for a single. It was a bit pricy for such a small room but was well worth the privacy after my experience of the first night. Room 11 is the one you don't want - beds too close together. Room 22 is a good room, but bring eye covers as light shines in all night.

This hostel has the best location and best staff ever. The only disturbing thing is a little bit of humidity. For the rest, it's an hostel, so there are pretty old and stark furniture, but the warmth of the awesome staff and the charm of Jerusalem will make everything great :) we paid around 20 € per person for a double and it was worth. Good place to stay if you spend a few days in the city !

The hostel has a superb view over the old City, many tourists sights are easy to reach by foot, the whole Flair of the City is most charming as is the staff of the hostel!!

Excellent view of the old city, friedly and helpful staff, room with an atmosphere. Unfortunately quite unpleasant kitchen (dirty cooker, broken cupboards etc.). Very cold room (January), we badly missed the heating.

stayed here for two nights in private room, with my wife and two children. the staff was very kind and helpful. the location is as good as it gets, in the old city walls, very close to Jaffa gate. overall it was a great time, the only problems were that it was rather cold in the room and my wife claimed there were bed bugs. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone who is acquainted with the low budget hostel lifestyle.

I had a great time at the Jaffa Gate Hostel. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room where i stayed was pretty ok for the price - hot water all the time and this in jan!!!. The location is just great - very central, save and very close to shopping facilities, bars and restaurants :)
