A good hostel, location is good for train station. Met all my basic requirements and had a very quirky character. Plenty of local facilities (banks, shops, bars, food-outlets) if you dont wont to venture in to ChCh centre. Well worth a second visitA good hostel, location is good for train station. Your hostel is awesome! It's such a great idea to convert an old jail into such a beautiful hostel. My friend and I were staying in a twin bunk room, and we absolutely loved it. My ONLY negative comment would be the dirt on the windowsill. Because I was on the top bunk, I ended up using the window as a "coffee table" type area to put my things #a bottle of water, tissues, etc.#, and it was VERY dirty.
