The breakfast was the best we have had! And we bought dinner there, it was great, truly homemade and a good value--lots of fine authentic food. Damien went out of his way to help us with our plans and travels. We got a fine nights sleep, the shower had lots of power and was hot...very satisfied with everything!

Site information is not correct- 4 and 3 bed mixed dorm Ensuite have bathroom outside. Booking was not correctly registered by the hostel (only the 3 bed; we were 7).

If you want to stay with a local family and don't mind being a few minutes drive away from Bled this place is for you. We had a lovely time here. Breakfast is amazing and so is dinner (only 6 Euro for a 3 course meal). I'm a vegetarian and still got lovely meals (mainly cheese based!). Don't stay here if you want to be loud, drink lots and party. This is a simple, beautiful, quiet, friendly place for enjoying this stunning country.

Not really what I was expecting. I do not recommend this hostel if you would like to come and go as you please to Bled. It is very far away and it seems that the only drop off and pick up times are 9.30am drop off and 6.30pm pick up. However, breakfast is great, the 6 euro home cooked dinners are lovely and if you want a relaxing stay and/or have a car, then this is a nice place.

Absolutely brilliant place! Bit out of the way, but Damien will drive to and from the train station and into Bled. For the price, it is great value aswell, even friend eggs for breakfast! The dinners are great too and proper sized for backpackers. Free bikes aswell so you can explore the lovely area. Damien can organise rafting or whatever you want to do aswell so it's very easy to have a good time! He is the biggest gentleman ever!

Highly recommended. Damien was a lovely bloke and his wife's homecooking was a treat and great value.

Damien was a fantastic host and though the hostel was a 15 minute drive out of Bled the hospitality, free transport and amazing three course dinners for only 6 euro more than made up for the distance. Fantastic!!

A lot of good things about this hostel: The 6euro dinner every night was very nice and filling, the beds are very comfortable and you do get a free lift into bled or the train station every day, but that's only becuase the location is pretty bad. Also, on the last night, the manager Damien flipped out and a guy there because he wanted to go to his room to get 2 euro to pay him for laundry, and Damien was very unreasonable and spoilt the atmosphere. Other than that it was a a good stay.

There are MUCH better places in Bled for about the same price. I\'d recommend finding them instead.
