Nice hostel. A lounge in each building which is great. Could use a TV in the lounge. The air con dorm was a bit warm i felt. You don't get the remote from what I could tell. Overall I would stay again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I was given a map and some tips upon checking in which was very helpful. Location is very ideal. No AC in the dorm I stayed in but the fan worked well enough. I would recommend this as a place to stay :)

Wow! Jalan Jalan has been one of the nicest places i have stayed at. The crew took us to local places, cheap eating and other tips, also a cycle trip to the floating mosque. The crew were very knowledgeable about the area. The place was clean, quiet but busy and a great way to meet new friends.

The location at charming Chinatown was exellent! Not too busy but near of all the attractions like night market and Stadhuys. Also lots of nice little bars and restaurants near by.

Good value for money at Jalan Jalan Besi. Great location in a quiet street in Jonker Walk, Walking distance from all the main attractions.

Excellent value for money and atmosphere at this place - the resident Brit takes people out in the evening to local restaurants that you probably wouldn't find on your own, easy to meet people. Great location in Chinatown and very cheap. Decent fan in the twin room so didn't need AC. It is very basic, no mosquito net and partially opened window slats, and bathroom is basically a toilet with a shower in it but all clean and so cheap. Would definitely stay again!

Good location near jonker street. Pin pad security. Little social area with fridge and tea/coffee facilities. The building itself is run down and could use TLC! Bathrooms were horrible also.

Great location for exploring the city. There are nice common areas so it's quiet easy to mix and get to know others in the hostel and the atmosphere in general is very relaxed. The bikes they offer for just 5 MYR (no matter how often you use them during your stay) are a really convenient way of getting around too.

The staff go above & beyond to include all of the travelers from both Jalan houses in all sorts of fun outings. I loved my stay!

Nice atmosphere and easy to meet new friend. Dorm room is quite humid and smelly but it's ok cuz price is really cheap. Wifi is ok not too fast but fine. Great location just 5minutes to Jonker street and clock tower. Helpful staff. Would recommend to traveller in budget.

A truly great stay. The hostel itself is quite basic, but very comfortable, and consists of two buildings/homes roughly 50m away from each other. Victor was very welcoming and is a truly genuine person. The self-styled 'PR Manager' of Jalan-Jalan, Lee, made the hostel a great place to stay, though. Every evening Lee would take any member of the hostel who was keen to a local restaurant (on one night a Sikh temple) for some awesome cheap eats, which was a good way to meet other travellers.

It would be nice to have more than one room with air con and toilet area closed so we won't share it with lizzards.

Not much to say. The host at the front desk Andre was awesome :) They put me up in a separate building so had to walk back n forth to get to meet people. I would say it was a decent stay
