Warning: not suitable for who has no experience with hostels! As well as those are born to be moving taget for mosquitoes (like me). Very basic but quite worth for the money considering the location. If you are looking for something like home then this is the wrong place, but a lovely shutter in those black-and-white pictures. daff are very friendly and helpful, shower and wifi is good. No cold drinking water provided but there is a small fridge so you can put your own drink there.

Very basic but very cheap accommodation which does include hot showers. Dorms are small but functional and there are lockers. WiFi was pretty slow. For the price though it is well equipped and if on a budget I would stay here again. Staff were friendly and courteous.

For a RM19/day dorm it was really good value for money. Clean, free coffee/tea, met new friends and good WiFi, couldn't ask for more.

My friend and I booked a private room. The toilet in this room did not flush properly. They shower had fungal growth in it. Upon arrival at the hostel we rang the door bell many times and no one answered the door. It took about 20min before someone showed up saying they were helping another guest to get a taxi, not much apology was given. No sign on the door or contact number was left to say: "back in xx min".

Hi this was not a bad place although I think a average rating of 89 % is just too high. The pillows were in my opinion too hard. Also you did not have a really good internet connection. Therefore my rating would be like 75 %.

We thank guest for staying with us. We are glad to inform that our guest house had subscribed to the max speed available provided by the local ISP. However we are in part of Melaka old town, hence copper telephone wires are still used for WiFi connection, making incoming signals can sometimes be inconsistent. Thanks again and would definitely look into comments and constructive feedback.

Located in China town and very near majority of historical sites. Victor who works there was helpful and friendly. Also made some new friends which made the trip much better.

I was in an annex on the next street from the main hostel. The staff was occasionally there during the day, but not at night. My room had a window that opened to the inside courtyard of the building, overlooking the lounge area. Smoking is permitted in the lounge, which filled my room with smoke. People routinely partied until 1AM in the lounge. The staff was not there to monitor and there was no way to contact the staff. I slept very badly.

We thank guest for the feedback and staying with us. Our staff is on duty till 9pm everyday to assist all guest on any matters. We did converse with you during your stay but due to no negative feedback from you at that time, we assumed all were good. If you'd told us about your concerns, we would have made arrangements for a more suitable room for you. However, we will take note and place guest who are sensitive to smoke and noise to further rooms from the lounge. Thank you once again.

Excellent location. A few walks away from the "MUST" visit Jonker St. night market and it's in central of town where all interesting places Malacca has to offer are. Did made a comparison and it's the best guest house around that area. Friendly staff especially Victor who is ever ready to provide info n help. Clean, comfortable and value for money. Will definitely recommend this place for tourists who are on a budget without sacrificing comfort.

Finding the place was a bit confusing but other than that it was a comforatble place to stay.

the blankets for the dorm room are tiny, barely covering your legs. . .(and i'm a tall guy). showers are not hot (though that's probably was necessary given the outside temperature). wifi is hit-or-miss. . .but the place is cheap and the location is pretty good. . .and i did enjoy talking to other travelers, and the staff was nice. i just wish the wifi was a bit better.

Really, really cool place. Sam is so friendly and helpful. We stayed in the second building, we booked a private room with shared bathroom but got an ensuite bathroom! Really relaxed atmosphere and good base for exploring melaka. Would stay here again.

Great place, if you'd like a quiet place to stay right near the action in old Melaka Town. Pros: quiet, clean, great location, good wifi, cool host, bicycles for almost free rental, great value for money. Cons: Walls are very thin, lack of staff.

A really nice place to stay . Sam the owner is very helpful, and can tell you where to go! It is a simple place, and I think that is clear in the description, but very clean and comfortable, and very very central. Jalan Jalan has a nice atmosphere, and if you enjoy staying in authentic shop houses this is for you. Yes no flat screen t vs or king coil mattresses [ but beds are good anyway] but you dont go to Melaka to watch T V DO YOU?? There is free internet and wifi though!!

Single room was ok but you just have to run downstairs for washroom/shower. Simple guesthouse with all basic facilities. Wifi worked well.
