Lovely, cosy little guesthouse with great, friendly staff! Excellent location in the old town area. Our double room (fan, shared bathroom) was very nice and airy with big windows, though the mossie net was a bit patchy in places, so got rather bitten, though the staff did their best to help avoid this, providing us with mossie coils etc!

Great place with fantastic hosts in Alan & Sam, who go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. We wish we could have stayed longer. We had a twin room, it is a little on the small side and very hot, but you are given two fans, so that helps a lot. Apart from that, we can't fault it.

Very basic, simple accommodations, with great staff in an excellent location. Rooms were clean, private rooms even had mosquito nets. Bathroom has one western and one eastern style toilet and two showers outside in the garden. Staff was very friendly and helped us find an early morning cab to the bus station.

Good, clean hostel. Good Wifi. Bring your own padlock for the private rooms. Great location. Staff were very helpful. Bring lots of mosquito repellant though!

Very cool hostel with very laid back staff. There is no air-co but only fans, Wifi available and the overall is clean. The location is very nice, you have a lot of good restaurants around. VERY CHEAP!

Love this hostel and am staying here for the 3rd or even 4th time, don't remember exactly. It is located just one block away from Jonker street in the china town. Owner and the staff are very nice, the interior is simple and very pleasant. Will definitely stay there again and would recommend to friends.

Simple and adequate guesthouse. Individual fan in the dorm is certainly handy. Sam is the man!

Basic but beautiful hostel that doesn't claim or try be anything it's not. The owner Sam is always available if you need him & he's very helpful & friendly. Place has free wifi throughout & bikes to hire for a very reasonable amount. Great location in Chinatown - Jalan Tukang Emas is parallel to Jalan Hang Jebat/Jonker Walk so really close to the night market at weekends but still quiet. There is a mosque across the road but I always slept through the early morning prayer call. I loved it!

The cleanest shared bathrooms I've ever seen. The bad news is that it is very noisy (noise from the neighbors and their televisions, from the street, from people gathering at the hostel, from the room next door ...) Take earplugs.

I booked the single room and think it was a really good deal! The only thing I did not like about the hostel is that at times no staff member was there to answer questions. Nobody was there at the time I wanted to check out.
