What a great stay we had! Got a small welcome evening and party when we arrived at the hostel by the staff and other backpackers. Atmosphere is so easy going, relaxed and friendly. We got to see a lot of the city (also due to the great location with shops, cafés, temples and sights at the same or on the parallell streets) but also met great people. The famous night market is just one crossing street away so you are in the pulsing heart of Melaka. Will for sure go back again. Thank you so much!

Nice hostel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Decent social area and group outings for dinner (so you get to know everyone). Lockers and lots of bathrooms. My only criticism is that the main dorm is very large and doesn't have AC - as a result, I received a lot of mosquito bites.

The host, especially Rodrigo, were really friendly, helpful and accomodating. The location of the hostel is very strategic, right in the middle of Melaka town. There is also a bicycle rental next door, and the place comes with a small cozy living area with free tea, coffee and wifi. We stayed in the 10bed mixed dorm, and though it was a little bit stuffy, the individual bed fans helped alot, and made the place really comfortable to stay. Great value for money and really friendly people.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in. Great location, friendly and helpful staff, relaxed atmosphere. Fans in the dorm make for a great night sleep. Everything you should want from a hostel is accounted for!

Basic hostel that meets the most important needs very well, and offers little else beyond that. But given the low price, this is fair. The huge 10-bed dorm could fit 20 people if they used bunk beds. But it has only floor beds, so it's spacious and comfortable. Standing fan at each bed keeps you cool without aircon. Lockers are small, adequate for valuables but not bags. Free coffee is nice. Warning: mosque down the street has very loud and long call to prayer at dawn, it will wake you up.

Nice place nothing fancy, but good atmosphere. Old house sound carries. But, overall, I enjoyed my stay.

This is a sister hostel of a place located some 200m away from it and the upsides here are the same. The hostel is great and with a wonderful vibe. Staff is very friendly, there are facilities like renting a bike (5MR for your whole stay), you can do laundry here as well and they have a hot shower if you need one. They run a dinner club everyday at 7pm so that you could mingle with other guests and eat great food! Another asset is being located in the center of the Malaka UNESCO heritage area.

An amazing hostel for the price. They do dinner every night for whoever wants to join, and the two guys working there during my stay were amazing. Helpful, friendly, and fun to hang out with. It's in a great neighborhood as well. All good things.

Very nice hostel. Single room I stayed was so hot to me at night, so I missed an air-conditioner, but I should not complain coz it is so reasonable.

Great value hostel, clean and social with the dinner club. But quite basic fascilities. For the price it's hard to beat.

There are 2 properties and we stayed in a double room at the older one. Room was very hot and had many mosquitoes, but a fan and mosquito net helped a bit. The owner was friendly but it was Rodrigo who actually made you feel very at ease; he gave us plenty of directions and help. Facilities were clean. However, found a guesthouse nearby with better rooms and A/C that costs the same.

My second time at Jalan Jalan Emas. I really enjoyed my stay both the times. It is centrally located and very convenient for commuting. A traditional shophouse experience is granted.

Loved the simplicity of the hostel within a shop building with two small courtyards. No aircon but doesn't matter as each bed (no bunks) has its own fan which at night I switched off as the temperature dropped and only a small blanket provided. Each bed has its own power socket aswell and wifi worked perfectly. Small locker with key provided on check in. Hot water shower available if desired. The opportunity to meet as a group at 7pm for a local dinner is such a brilliant idea.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at, it wasn't new and modern like many but it was everything you need! Staff were so friendly and helpful, every evening they had someone take you out to a different place to eat if you wanted to. It was cheap, clean and in the middle of everything. No air on in the room I stayed in but there was fans at the end of each bed so it was fine.

Nice hostel located on the center of Melaka. Close to all historical places. Atmosphere is really good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They organise the dinner club for free and bike rental service is just 5 RM as long as you stay! Showers and toilets are clean. Good wifi.
